Chapter 48: Information about the East

Alexander ordered his elves to search for Riddle and asked for an update on the people he had captured. Alexander wanted to further deceive the east so he healed Grindlewald and transfigured him to look like himself. Then, he had Dumbledore and Grindlewald duel to death. Due to being in prison for so long, Grindlewald lost and died. Alexander's men had recovered some sort of magical device from the spies that relayed recordings over a long distance. The duel was recorded and send to the higher ups in the east.

It seemed that the eastern magi had done extensive research on western dark lords as they were able to notice the subconscious habits of Grindlewald during the duel and had given orders to investigate the relationship between Gellert Grindlewald and Alexander Fortis. The spies were also ordered to investigate the hideouts of the now decreased Alexander Fortis as they wanted the ritual to cure the werewolves. The spies were given 3 months to accomplish this because after that higher ups had decided to send specialized teams. The reason that they were not being send now was not being told but Alexander knew that the original spies knew the reason. The spies had not opened their mouths till now. Alexander ordered his people to move the spies deep inside the African magical forests. As Alexander had conquered the whole Africa, the animals even those who are extremely territorial would not attack unless they are provoked first. Alexander then focused on his advancement and entered deep meditation after returning to his kingdom.

After an unknown amount of time, Alexander was shaken awake from his meditation. Alexander opened his eyes and saw Rose standing in front of him. Rose upon seeking him awake, bowed and said, " Master!!! Mr. Carter came to inform you that they have collected all the information they could about the east at present. He wants to meet you."

Alexander, " First tell me, for how much time was I in meditation?"

Rose, " Master was in meditation for 15 days."

Alexander, " Tell Carter that I will meet him when I am fully rested and also bring me some food."

Rose nodded and shifted away. After a few minutes, Rose with large quantities of food appeared in the room, she put down the food and proceeded to stand at a corner. Alexander did not say anything and just started to eat up everything. It took 3 more servings of equal quantity to fully satisfy Alexander. Alexander let out a hiccup and quickly fell asleep. Rose came and covered Alexander with a blanket while smiling a soft smile.

Alexander woke up to find himself warped in a very comfortable blanket. Alexander blinked away the sleep from his eyes and proceeded to complete his morning routine. Alexander was now waiting in the throne room. The throne room was made up of white marble and had pillars made with enchanted gold acting as support. The room was covered in banners of his empire and the throne was a much bigger version of the one that was placed in the stadium. Alexander examined the room for possible attack and defense points and found quite a few. Alexander called forth and elf and told him to forward his orders to the architectures of this room. Alexander, " I liked this room but close the attack points and increase the defense points. Life is more precious than vanity. Also, survey all the important buildings of the kingdom and perform similar procedure there."

Alexander began to go over the information about the magus realm. Every 10 percent is a benchmark of advancement up to 90 percent. After that every single percent is a benchmark. The old magus had named themselves as high magus, master magus, grandmaster magus, lord magus and so on but Alexander found this classification tedious so he copied the ranking from Duoluo cultivation world. Every percent was a rank like a magus who has transformed 1 percent of his cells is a Rank 1 magus and a magus who has transformed 95 percent of his body is a Rank 95 magus. Those magus who are below 1 percent are simply called magus.

Alexander examined his progress and found that he now had awakened 147,000 magic cells in his blood. When Alexander had first gone into meditation, he had awakened 60,000 magic cells in week as he was in the Harry Potter world due to the upcoming duel. Now, when he was in his kingdom where magic was denser, he had awakened 147,000 magic cells in 15 days which means he had awakened 9,800 magic cells in a day. Alexander decided to stay in his kingdom for the most of the time in order to quickly advance. The war with the east would now be fought by his generals but Alexander would not start the war until majority of the the crystal stage subjects advance into the magus realm as he does not know the true strength of east.

Alexander saw Carter enter the room with a stack of papers, Carter arrived in front of the throne and bowed. Alexander, " What do you have for me?"

Carter, " Your Highness, the Eastern magi are more powerful than we thought. They have at least 200 to 250 magus in their ranks. The magical clans of China were easily traced by the elves in the past but we were not able to inflitrate the true core of the clan. There are 20 clans, each specializing in a certain field of magic. There is a council of generally 5 to 7 elders in each clan. The intelligence department speculates that these elders and their successors are all magus but there are no definite proof of this. I don't personally believe this because the grade of this civilization would have been much higher than what is shown by the realm gate."

Alexander interuppted Carter, " The realm gate only shows the estimate of the world so never completely rely on it. Now, continue."

Carter nodded to show his understanding and continued, " The elves were volunteered to once again inflitrate the clans and we allowed them to do so. The elves brought back the information that there was some kind of barrier that prevented them from entering the clans' core and a similar type of barrier existed around the boundaries of magical empire of India. Our investigations revealed that the barrier surrounding India was much more powerful and also alerted the apparent watchers about the attempts of intrusion as a magus came out to investigate the location from which the elves were trying to enter. The elves were able to sense that something was wrong and shifted away before the arrival of the magus. We had speculates that the clans of China don't have intruder alert but our interrogation of the spies revealed that they have an alert but it is not as sensitive as the Indians, also, their barrier was an inferior copy of the India's barrier which was gifted to by the Indians when they had helped them in repelling the goblin invasion in ancient times. According to the reports, the goblins were forced to sign a treaty which made them unable to disclose any information about east in any form."

Alexander, " Why?"

Carter, " They didn't wanted endless invasions to grace their home. They also kept both the copies of the treaty with them. After a few generations, the goblins forgot about the invasion and the treaty. According to the information given by the spies, the goblins of the ancient times had high breeding capacity due to the increased magic so they were drowning the Indian magi in numbers. The Chinese helped as the goblins overconfident in their chances of victory, attacked Chinese magi also. This led to their loss."

Alexander, " How advance are they?"

Carter, " They are much more advanced than the western magi. They have not yet managed to make the non magical technology work with magic but they have made better alternatives of many non magical devices. They also don't use wands as focus but rings made of some sort of magical conductive metal with their blood acting as core. They also have elemental magi in their ranks. Their primary runic language is Sanskrit and their rituals and wards are more advanced than west. They are also developing ward to stop the nuclear bombs."

Alexander, " This sort of knowledge should be strictly guarded by the government or the royalty in this case. Did we capture a high ranking fellow?"

Carter, "No, your highness. The common public of magical empire had started rioting when the nuclear bombs were dropped on Japan as the wards of Japanese magi failed to keep out the radiation. The common public became afraid so to quell the public, a progress report is released after every 6 months. They are very close to figuring this out. Also, there are some things which are of extreme interest for us."

Alexander, " Go on!!!!"

Carter, " We believe that there is an artifact which helps the Indian magi in separating their territory from the rest of the world. They have also developed a runic circle which converts other energy into magical energy. This runic circle was the byproduct of their attempts to make non magical technology work with magic. They also have managed to deploy wards all over their territory like we are researching to do. They also have more magical flora and fauna ."

Alexander, " The artifact in question is similar to the one given to me by the ancient dragon. The ancient dragon had told me that there was another artifact like that in this world. That artifact creates a small independent world which is autonomous to the world's laws like Shangri-La. The Indian magi could have researched this artifact to make their own or they are using the same artifact. So, it is possible that their world is an independent world which was not included by the realm gate in it's estimation. We have to be very careful about this. Also, I want the magic conversion runic circle at all costs. We would be able to figure out large scale warding in few years so there is no hurry."

Carter, " We will try our best, your highness."

Alexander, " Tell the higher ups of the east that Alexander Fortis' hideouts have some kind of unknown wards which are beyond the current team's capability. Send the location of one of our more remote facilities to them. Also, report that they were detected through unknown means and lost a person of the team."

Carter, " Which one should we report as dead?"

Alexander, " The one whose death won't raise any eyebrows. Also, investigate if anyone of these can tell you about the ritual circle. If not, then make one of them submit to me so that I could scan his mind."

Carter, " They are very loyal to their country, your highness. We had to 24 hour watch over them in order to prevent them from committing suicide."

Alexander, " It's admirable but if you can't do this then, bring in the sadists. They would certainly do anything to make him submit. Just don't break his mind." The sadists were the most psycho torturers that his kingdom has found on the worlds that he had conquered. The only reason Alexander had not killed them was because they were excellent in designing deadly traps, conducting tortures, inventing poisons and punishing criminals who were even worse than them. Alexander also had them attend therapy sessions in order to make them somewhat functionable in society.

Carter nodded in acceptance and discussed the projects which were going on in the kingdom. Alexander had given the scientists some goals to accomplish like searching cure to all non magical and magical diseases which are untreatable or whose treatment could be improved, a way to heal cut off limbs or severely damaged body parts, how to further advance on the path of combining magic with technology, etc. Alexander after few hours of discussion with Carter, returned to his room and on the next day, reentered the deep meditation.
