V9 Ch 8: I became a mascot.
Let me tell you pretending to sleep is really boring.
Sandstorm opens her eyes.
"She's awake!" A nurse yells
'Say Fate? Do I have a name in this world like you do for all the other ones?' Sandstorm asks
(Yes, it's Alia Scáthach....) Fate responds
'...' Sandstorm says to Fate.

Suddenly agent Peggy Carter comes barging in followed by Steve.
"Hey, mind telling me your age again?" Peggy asks Sandstorm.
"I'm 18 why?" Sandstorm asks
Suddenly a file gets dumped on Sandstorm lap.
Sandstorm looks at the file and it says she's an orphaned 14 year old.
"Let's not get started about how your parents don't exist!" Peggy shouts.
Seems like she's been running in loops trying to find out more about me.
"Then I looked up your last name and it led me to a mythological tale!" Peggy shouts
"I think I get where you are going." Sandstorm says
"Really?" Peggy asks
While Steve just looks at her.
"Your off the team kid." Steve says
"I'm not a kid!" Sandstorm shouts
"Not what our records say." Peggy says
"How do I exists if there is no record of my parents and where I lived besides Scotland? Shouldn't there at least be a school record. If it says I'm an orphan an orphanage record?" Sandstorm asks and watches as Peggy starts pulling on her hair.
"You think I don't know that! there is none!" Peggy shouts
'She must have been investigating this herself for her to be this frustrated. I could probably frustrate the ultimate spy Nick Fury too.' Sandstorm thinks
"Doesn't matter if you're not a kid. Records say you are." Steve says
"Like you didn't lie on the draft." Sandstorm says
"How do you know that." Steve says
"Doesn't matter, powers are probably gone for a few years. I can still hangout when you are not on missions or at a base right?" Sandstorm asks still wanting to be with them but not do work since she still had her powers.
"How will you defend yourself without your powers?" Peggy asks
"Peggy, I know martial arts. And frankly my reaction time is not human." Sandstorm says smiling.
"Can I get up now?" Sandstorm asks sitting up and wanting to hop off the bed.
"I would say no however your rate of healing is extraordinary." A doctor says
"Not as extraordinary as James and Victor." Sandstorm says hopping down and stumbling a little for show.
"Good news everyone she's awake!" Steve yells as everyone in the war room looks over to see the little girl who could teleport a German destroyer from the Mediterranean to the river Thames.
One person starts clapping, followed by everyone in the war room.

Arriving at the meeting room for the howling commandos.
"I'm weakened not crippled! Don't look at me with pity James!" Sandstorm yells seeing the Wolverine.
"She seems perfectly fine guys." Victor says
"So you were 14?" Gabe asks Sandstorm who just sat down.
"Apparently, who knew?" Sandstorm says
"You don't know your own age?" Bucky asks
"Lost track." Sandstorm says
"You make it seem like your centuries old." Jim says
"Well if you look her last name. You would find a legend about a god killer." Steve says
"Well it should be easier to kill a hydra." Sandstorm says
Suddenly a newspaper is placed in front of her with a picture of the German destroyer and it's decks full of refugees at the entrance of the river.
"You did good." Sam says
"Yep just take a rest we'll handle the rest." Dugan says
"No, you guys are not getting rid of me I will be the mascot if I have to." Sandstorm says
"Sounds good." Steve says with a smile.
"I can't believe it worked so quickly. We just didn't want you jumping behind enemy lines with us anymore." Bucky says
"Wait what? Why?" Sandstorm asks
"Well your powers are not usable." James says
"Your 14." Steve says while everyone immediately stares at her.
"Steve no one needed to know that. Just like how no one needs to know the amount of fights you've lost in an back ally, 235." Sandstorm says with a smile.
"I never actually counted how many times I pulled him out of an ally after he was beat up." Bucky says
"You we're actually pretty close with that guess." Steve says while all his commandos stare at him.
"So what do I do? Claim the role of test subject saved by you guys and talk about how amazing you are and you adopted me as a team?" Sandstorm asks with a smile.
"Actually someone already put in the papers for adoption..." Steve says
"Who?" Sandstorm asks
"Hi guys am I late?" Howard says walking in with a big box of gadgets.
"Your kidding right?" Sandstorm says shocked
"Nope." Steve says with a smile
"Awesome!" Sandstorm shouts.
"You're taking my last name though." Stark says
"Fine but I keep my last as a middle." Sandstorm says
