The Battle between Hua Xiong and Zhao Yun

Yun and Lu Bu returned and Yun placed Wei Mei and Huixiu on Thunder before mounting him as well when he looks at Lu Bu and says, "They will be safe but once on the battlefield I won't hold back against you."

Lu Bu smiled in excitement as he mounted his horse which was Thunder's son while saying, "I am not expecting from you to go easy on me. I am expecting quite the opposite of you."

"Good," says Yun with a smile as they were banting around before they go their separate ways while Huixiu was sleeping in Wei Mei's arms.

They arrived at the main camp when Yun jumps down of Thunder before he helped Wei Mei and Huixiu down from there they walked towards his tent.

Once inside the tent, Wei Mei could see that it wasn't much luxury inside it except for some pelts on the ground to sleep comfortably on it.

"I know it isn't much but we have to deal with what we got," says Yun as he walked towards the pelts and says, "You can use the pelts as your bed and blanket. I will be sleeping on the ground. I will also tell Dian Wei to tell two of his men to protect you while you are in camp."

"Thank you for taking us in," says Wei Mei as she bows towards Yun who walks out of the tent and finds Dian Wei outside the tent.

"I want two men to protect them visibly and another four that are not in sight," says Yun seriously as his eyes told Dian Wei that if something happens to the two inside the tent the whole camp will die under his spear.

"I will do so," says Dian Wei as he placed his strongest men beside the entrance while ordering four others of his men to protect them without them noticing them.

In the meantime, Yun went toward the tent which belonged to Pang Tong. He entered the tent and find Pang Tong still going over his plan to make sure that he has the answers for the enemy's reaction to his moves.

"Pang Tong, we need to talk," says Yun as Pang Tong looks up to see Yun approach him.

"What happened in the meeting between Lu Bu and you that you need to find me?" asks Pang Tong as Yun points at the piece which represents Lu Bu.

"He won't move while our left-wing and his right-wing fight each other until the General leading the right-wing dies," says Yun as Pang Tong was confused about why Lu Bu would do that.

"He is doing it on purpose?" asks Pang Tong confused as Yun nods.

"Yes, he is doing it on purpose," says Yun confirming it when Pang Tong thought a moment about why before he realized it.

"He is planning on betraying Dong Zhuo!" shouts Pang Tong as Yun now grinned at his strategist.

"That is right and it seems that killing one of Dong Zhuo's Generals will help him quite a lot as well as saving his men from dying tomorrow in a battle that isn't worth anything to him," says Yun as Pang Tong knew that Yun agreed to it because he would also save a lot of his men from dying a meaningless death.

"That means that neither the center nor left-wing of the enemy will attack," says Pang Tong as Yun flinched for a moment.

"No, only the center won't attack. That's why I want my brother and Huang Zhong on the right-wing. I want them to kill the General on the left-wing if he decides to go against Lu Bu's command and attacks us," says Yun as Pang Tong now had an excited smile on his face.

"You want to have their name spread through the Empire," says Pang Tong knowing what Yun wanted to do.

"Huang Zhong is old it will help him gain some reputation which he lost while searching for a cure for his son Huang Xu," says Yun as he understood what Pang Tong was saying.

"And Hua needs to stand on his own and not in my shadow. This is his first step and you will get recognition of this battle as the brain behind this battle," says Yun grinning as Pang Tong grinned back.

"It is perfect for me. I will move Huang Zhong and Zhao Yun into the right-wing then," says Pang Tong as it was now easier for him now that he knows of the variables that he will encounter on the battlefield.

"I should leave then," says Yun as he was walking for the exit of the tent.

"Good Night, my Lord," says Pang Tong as Yun leaves the tent.

Yun then returned to his tent in which Wei Mei and Huixiu were already sleeping when he lays down on the ground and closes his eyes to rest for the night to be fit for the battle tomorrow.

The next morning he awakens first and leaves the tent to get some food for himself and the other two. Once he returns he finds Wei Mei awake and he hands her two bowls of food.

"You need to eat even if it is something this simple," says Yun as Wei Mei didn't really care what they get to eat since she knows that Yun's family doesn't really spend much money on a luxurious lifestyle.

"It is better than having nothing to eat," says Wei Mei as she accepted the bowl of food when she wakes up her daughter.

Huixiu looked around and saw that she wasn't in the tent in which she would normally wake up and she sees Yun eating his breakfast which was bland rice.

"Where is Dad?" asks Huixiu confused that only her uncle was with them at the moment.

"Dad has other matters to attend to. Remember that he told you that we will be living with your uncle for a while until he comes to get us," says Wei Mei as she was holding her daughter in her arms.

Huixiu began to cry not understanding what was really going on when Yun petted her head while saying, "You will see him faster than you think, little Tigress. You just need to hold on. Your Dad wouldn't want to see cry like that."

Huixiu didn't stop crying and Yun didn't blame her since it only showed the love she has for her father. Soon Huang Zhong entered the tent and finds Yun petting Huixiu.

He was surprised to see the future wife of Zhao Fang and her mother in Yun's tent when he bows to them while saying, "My Lord, the army is ready for the battle."

"I will be there in a moment," says Yun as Huang Zhong nods before leaving.

"I will be leaving now. Stay inside the tent if you want to take a stroll around the camp take the two men outside with you. They will keep you safe," says Yun as Wei Mei nods understanding that they will be staying in camp with them until the war is over.

Yun then leaves the tent and he finds Hua waiting for him outside waiting when he hears, "I was told to join the right-wing instead of the center. Was that your idea?"

"Yes, the Center won't be moving and I want you to gain a name for yourself. That's why I told Pang Tong to place you and Huang Zhong on the right-wing," says Yun as he gestures to Hua to follow him.

They move together as Hua asks, "Why won't the Center move?"

"Because it won't move. I won't say more than needed," says Yun to his younger brother when he stops and turns towards him and continues, "I want you to step out of my shadow to do so you need to accomplish something and this is your chance. Don't waste this opportunity."

Yun then continues walking towards where the army was assembling as he jumped on Thunder's back before joining Dian Wei who will be by his side in this battle.

"Are you nervous, Dian Wei?" asks Yun with an exciting smile on his face.

"A little bit to be honest but not because of the battle but because of you," says Dian Wei as they joined the left-wing in which Wei Yan and Gan Ning were also placed.

The soldiers were ready and motivated they didn't need some words from Yun which would rally them up to fight better since silence would let them concentrated on what was important and that was to keep the men beside each other alive.

Soon the drums of war were sounded and the left-wing lead by Yun rushed into the battle while the rest of the battlefield stood still until the response of the enemy side arrived with them sending their right-wing to meet Yun and his men.

Yun and Dian Wei break loose from the formation since they were on their horses while the others were walking.

Yun crashed into the enemy's formation head-on with his spear tip lowered to kill his enemy and bath in their blood. Dian Wei was swinging his one-handed halberds at the enemy opening his way through them.

Thunder was killing most of the enemy troops by running them over when Yun noticed that his spear had too many corpses on it and he let go of it before pulling the sword he has on his belt.

He begins to slash at the enemy drenching his sword in the blood of the enemy when the left-wing crashed with their shields first into the enemy making the first row fall back from the massive strength of the men holding those heavy shields made out of pure iron.

Once the enemy hit the ground the second row killed the enemy using their spears while the first row continued to advance showing off their tenacity.

Suddenly the enemy's left-wing began to charge while the Center stood firm. Seeing that Huang Zhong commanded the attack and the right-wing began to move to fight the enemy's left-wing.

This was Hua's opportunity to show that he wasn't in Yun's shadow as he and his five hundred cavalrymen waited for the right opportunity to flank the enemy and take the General's head.

Yun on the other hand was on the other side of the enemy's right-wing with Dian Wei as they went through the whole formation.

"Dian Wei, once we enter I want you to get to the other side and help the others while I will get the General of the right-wing," says Yun as he was drenched in blood.

"My Lord that is too risky-" says Dian Wei but before he could continue Thunder already rushed at the enemy formation again.

Thunder did most of the work as he used his strength to make way for them while Yun swung his sword at the enemy killing some on his way towards his spear which he let go before.

Once near the spear Yun grabbed it and pulled it up making him look like an executor before he says, "Thunder towards the person with the horse. He must be the Barbarian from yesterday."

Thunder was not losing any momentum as he changed direction towards the middle of the formation while Yun placed his foot on the first corpse his spear penetrated through and pushed all the corpses off of it.

Thunder rushed at the man on the horse and the closer they got the better Yun could see his target when he shouts, "Barbarian! I am here for your head!"

Yun began to crouch on Thunder's back as he approached the General of the Left-Wing when the Barbarian turns around seeing Thunder approach him in a tempo his horse could never outrun.

He prepared for the clash between him and Yun when Yun smiled at him before throwing his sword at Barbarian.

The Barbarian used his weapon to block which left him wide-open for Yun's next attack as he stood up while swinging his spear using the momentum to cleanly cut through the weapon and the Barbarian.

The Barbarian was in disbelief as he slowly felt his upper body fall from the horse as he was on the ground looking up seeing his lower body still sitting on a headless horse before the body of the horse fell upon him burying him like that.

Hope you like it.
