Luoyang

They arrived at the gates of Luoyang as Diao Chan was wearing a veil to hide her face showing her eyes and hair when they got stopped by the guards at the North Gate.

"Stop who are you and why are you here?" asks the Guard as Zhao Yun took a letter out.

"I'm here to pledge for Lu Zhi's innocent. I was sent with a letter from Changshan's Commander Zhao Xian to hand over this message and prove of his innocence. My name is Zhao Yun," says Zhao Yun as the guard took a look at the message before closing it hastily while making way.

"You should rush to the Imperial Palace. They are holding the trial right now and Lu Zhi really needs every evidence he can get to pledge his innocence," says the Guard as he supported He Jin's fraction and not the Eunuchs' fraction.

Zhao Yun begins to ride towards the Imperial Palace while Diao Chan was between his arms as she pressed her back against Zhao Yun's torso.

They arrive at the Gate leading into the Imperial Palace when the imperial guards stopped him this time and one of them says, "You can't enter with the horse, and women are forbidden to enter except they belong to the Harem."

"Where is the nearest Inn with a stable?" asks Zhao Yun as the Imperial Guard points him in a direction.

"Just follow that street until the crossing and then go left you can't miss it," says the Imperial Guard as Zhao Yun dismounted Thunder.

He hands his pouch to Diao Chan while saying, "Go and rent a room I will return as fast as possible."

"Be careful," says Diao Chan as Thunder walked slowly away towards the Inn.

"Can I enter now?" asks Zhao Yun as they nodded letting him pass.

"You need to find He Jin, he is with his advisers right now. He should know what to do once you hand him the letter," says the Imperial Guard as Zhao Yun nods while the Guard points him in the direction he needs to go.

He went the way the Imperial Guard pointed him to go as he arrived at a courtyard in which two Guards were standing there when Zhao Yun just says, "I have news for the Marshall."

"I hope it is a good thing because the Marshall is in a bad mood," says one of the men.

"Is it because of Lu Zhi's trial?" asks Zhao Yun as the men shake their heads.

"Lu Zhi might be a loyal servant to the Emperor but Marshall's real worries are those corrupted Eunuchs. They are corrupted to their core and need to be removed so the Emperor can rule and the land flourish again as it did," says one of the two.

"You can enter since the Imperial Guards let you pass making it obvious that it is official," says the other man as they let Zhao Yun pass.

Once in the courtyard, He Jin was surrounded by people as they stood in front of a table. He Jin was a tall man with 1,8m and his black hair that would cover his neck if he didn't have it in a knot on top of his head.

"From where are you soldier?" asks He Jin as he saw Zhao Yun coming.

"I'm from Zhending in Changshan. My name is Zhao Yun and I serve the Emperor at the moment suppressing the Rebels in Ji. But once my commander found out that Lu Zhi was accused of treason he sent me with evidence that he couldn't be a traitor," says Zhao Yun as he hands over the letter to He Jin before taking the two bloody rags from his belt.

He Jin reads the message and opened his eyes wide as he began to smile saying, "You did well with this I can save Lu Zhi and get one of those Eunuchs out of the picture."

The other looked confused as He Jin gave them the message. Many didn't want to believe it when He Jin says, "Ding Yuan, don't you have a son that is this tall as well. I would like to see who is stronger our Zhao Yun here or your son. How long do you think your son will need to get here?"

"It would take four maybe five days calculating the time the messenger would need to get to my son," says a man who had a little beard on his chin that was slowly turning grey while he was wearing a helmet preventing Zhao Yun to see more of Ding Yuan.

"Zhao Yun since you killed both, the Rebel Leader and one of his General, I grant you leave from the battlefield. I will also inform the Emperor about it. He should grant you a force of 500 men. You have done us a great service. But I need you to stay in the capital since I want to see who is stronger you or my brother's son," says He Jin as he wanted to rope Zhao Yun into his fraction.

"I'm sorry my lord but I need to return to the front as fast as possible or my men will worry why I haven't returned yet," says Zhao Yun wanting to escape this situation as He Jin only smiled.

"Don't worry, I will send a messenger to your Commander informing him about it. He would agree with me having you rest for a while," says He Jin when Zhao Yun kneels down on one knee while putting his hand over his fist.

"I understand. But I want to stay in the city. The Imperial Palace isn't something for me," says Zhao Yun as He Jin smiles knowing that Zhao Yun would stay.

"Good boy. I will send a servant with money to find you so you can pay the Inn and have some fun around the capital while you stay," says He Jin as he dismissed Zhao Yun.

"Thank you, Marshall," says Zhao Yun as he stood back up.

"I will send a servant when your opponent arrives," says He Jin as Zhao Yun nods and leaves.

"Did he really killed the Leader of the Rebels, Zhang Jiao, and his right-hand man, Zhang Liang?" asks a young man as he didn't believe it.

"We will find out once Lu Bu is here. He is guarding the border right now or he would have joined the campaign against the Yellow Turbans," says Ding Yuan as he didn't know what to believe since he believed that his son wasn't the only one out there with such strength.

"You might not know this my lord but we normal people hear a lot and it's rumored that Zhending has two monsters living there," says a young man telling Ding Yuan about it.

"Really Zhang Liao?" asks Ding Yuan as Zhang Liao nods.

"Yes, they are called the Zhao brothers and are from the Zhao household. Many thought twice before proposing to their parents regarding their little sister's marriage proposal as both brothers could tear people apart with their wooden spear alone," says Zhang Liao making He Jin smile as well as Ding Yuan.

"It seems Lu Bu finally found an adversary to not feel bored any longer," says Ding Yuan as he looked at He Jin who opened the rags and the heads were drained of color with maggots all over it trying to eat the flesh.

"At least he brought us something that will take us one step closer to our goal in bringing the Eunuchs down," says He Jin with a smile as he closed the rags again.

"I will go and interrupt the trial and try to save Lu Zhi and get that bastard Zuo Feng out of the Imperial Palace with this message and the two heads. They should be enough to clean Lu Zhi's name," says He Jin as he leaves the courtyard.

In the meantime, Zhao Yun left the Imperial Palace as he walked towards the Inn the Imperial guard referred to before. He arrived at the stables to find Thunder in it when he then enters the Inn and says, "My wife should have booked a room an hour ago."

"You mean the woman with the veil?" asks the Innkeeper as Zhao Yun nods.

"Exactly, the Royal Marshall will send a servant in the next few hours for me. Inform me when he arrives since it's important information to suppress the Rebels in the east," says Zhao Yun as the man began to sweat in panic from hearing Zhao Yun.

"Where is my wife by the way?" asks Zhao Yun as he looked at the Innkeeper who almost lost his by a heart attack.

"She went to her room after being molested by another guest," says the Innkeeper as Zhao Yun looked quite angry at him.

"Who is that guest?" asks Zhao Yun as he takes a dagger out of the belt stripped over his chest.

"He left some minutes ago. He is the guard captain of Luoyang," says the Innkeeper as the dagger penetrated the counter and the Innkeeper fell on his arse from the scare.

"He dares to touch my woman. He really has guts," says Zhao Yun as his face had veins all over it showing his anger before saying to the Innkeeper, "We never had this conversation do we understand each other?"

"Yes," says the Innkeeper scared of Zhao Yun who takes his dagger out of the broken counter and leaves the Inn again.

He was walking through the streets without anyone noticing him as he found a guard and dragged him into an alley and questioned him out before killing him.

"So he is an old pervert that is already missing some teeth. It should be easy to find him," says Zhao Yun as he burns the corpse while the armor drank the blood away.

He then went to where the guard told him the Guard Captain would be as he entered the Red Light District. He found the place and entered it while everyone was ignoring him completely thanks to Hermes Footwork.

He found the Guard Captain and three daggers suddenly came out of nowhere as they killed the Guard Captain. Zhao Yun left as he came when the daggers suddenly disappeared from the body of the Guard Captain and returned into his hands.

He cleaned them by rubbing the blood against the armor as it drank it making the daggers look clean again. He puts them away and everyone thought that an Immortal killed the Guard Captain since the daggers came out of nowhere and disappeared again.

Hope you like it.
