chapter 3: UA entrance exam Training

Hiashi's parents had forced him to rest for three days before returning to school. As boring as those days had been he knew that it was needed. Once he was able to return to school he picked back up his training, this time spending more time with sparring. Soon enough he was walking to school with Misaki and Hiro. The two told him how the whole class was worried about him and missed him, including themselves. Hiashi felt cared for by the whole class, hearing that he had been missed meant alot to him.

soon they were entering the classroom and the whole class rushed to Hiashi, "Are you okay?!"

"Did they hurt you?"

"Who saved you?!"

"How many villains were there?"

Hiashi held up his hand and the class fell silent, "I am alive so obviously I am okay. Medic healed the injuries I had sustained from my kidnapping. Yes they hurt me, pretty bad from what my parents told me. I got out of the villain lair alone, barely. and in total there was either nine or ten villains though only five were bothering to notice me." he said as he answered all the questions, though he didn't feel like recounting the memory to anyone quite yet and he had promised his two best friends they would be the first to hear every grueling detail when he was ready to share it.

They all took their seats and soon enough class began, each teacher welcomed Hiashi back, as the day progressed. when it was the end of the day Hiashi was walking home with Misaki and Hiro. As they were walking Hiashi cleared his throat and asked, "Would you guys like to train with me? After all there is only ten months before the entrance exam. I really want all three of use to make it in."

Misaki and Hiro looked to each other then to Hiashi, "Definitely we want to make it in so we will take all the training we can." they said in unison.

Hiashi smiled and nodded his head as they began to head for Hiashi's home to begin their training.Soon they made it to the rather large Midoriya household. Hiashi led them inside and up the stairs to his room, where he tossed his bag onto his bed as he pulled out three training outfits and he handed the Bakugou twins each an outfit. They both took an outfit and looked at him.

"Trust me you are going to want to be wearing these instead of that school uniform. My father has an underground gym, that has a simulation of his entrance exam, when he took it. It can be pretty intense especially since he will only let me do the simulation on hard difficulty" he said as he looked at the two. They nodded their heads. Misaki went to the bathroom to change as the two boys changed in Hiashi's room.

Soon enough the three teens walked to a door in the back of the house, where Hiashi opened the door and he walked them down the stairs.

The underground gym was huge, The walls were made of Tungsten metal, the floor was pure Cement. There was some advanced technology items and Hiashi walked to a large electric panel with a keyboard attached. Misaki and Hero watched him as he was typing and he was flipping through files. Soon he had a simulation of his father's entrance exam playing. he peeked back to his friends and smiled, "So they were told to do a ten minute mock battle and there were a total of four enemies. one enemy was worth zero points while the others were worth one to three points. your goal was to get as many points as possible before the end of ten minutes. There are two types of points, Combat points, which is fighting the robots and taking them down….Then there is Rescue points, these are points you earn for doing heroic acts, for example my father passed the mock exam with 60 rescue points because he rescued my mother, ignoring the consequences of not getting any combat points. He risked it all for her." Hiashi said as he was watching them.

"What about our father where did he place on the score board?" Hiro asked as he was watching Hiashi.

"Your father was first on the scoreboard with 70 combat points and zero rescue points." Hiashi said as he pulled up the leaderboard for the simulation. Hiashi entered himself and the twins into the system. he then his begin and he hopped down and looked at them, "Get ready the simulation is very real and you can get hurt, get as many points as you can before the simulation tells you that it is complete." he said and he stretched popping his back as the simulation began to count down.

"Ten minutes on the clock. Simulation number 3347: UA entrance exam mock battle loading... 3...2...1…Begin." A robotic female voice said

Hiro and Misaki were stunned to see the gym turn into a suburban setting. They saw that Hiashi had ran off and they scambled in search of the robotic targets. The simulation was huge, and soon enough a one pointer came into view of Misaki.

"Target acquired; Initiating attack protocol" the robot said as it began to charge toward Misaki who leapt back and snapped her right thumb and middle finger to send shadows near the robot near it and to explode. In the sky of the simulation was a scoreboard, Hiashi 10 points; Misaki 1 point; Hiro 6 points.

"eight minutes and twenty seconds to go" the robotic voice called to the three.

Misaki quickly scrambled off to get more points. Hiro was hit back by a 3-pointer bot and he hit a wall of a simulation building. Hiro winced but he got up and he rushed toward the 3-pointer and snapped his fingers to create a large explosion. The robot shut down and Hiro ran off to find another bot. 

Hiashi was taking on a 2-pointer and a 3-pointer bot using his zero gravity quirk to lift them into the air and then deactivating it to send the bots crashing down. he was running off as he muttered to himself, "25"

As Hiashi was running he was beginning to feel nauseous for over using his zero gravity quirk, but he pushed himself to keep going.  He had no intention of slowing down. He ran past another three-pointer touching it to activate his quirk and he ran touching two two-pointers then deactivating his quirk sending them crashing down, he was panting and dry heaving, "32" he muttered

Hiro was determined to beat Hiashi, even with Hiashi's unfair training advantage. Hiro gathered up three three-pointers, two two-pointers and three one-pointers then he set off a large explosion when they were all close to him, "22" he muttered as he began to search for more to take down.

Misaki panted as she was trying to catch up to the boys, she took a second to catch her breath as she looked back to tally up her points, "1….4...7..9...11...14...17….20….22...25" she muttered as she looked up to see she was three points ahead of Hiro and seven points behind Hiashi. Misaki felt proud that for the first time she was ahead of her brother, she decided that she better keep going to keep her lead on her brother.

Misaki took off to find more bots. As she was running she noticed that Hiashi was leaning on a building panting and dry heaving. She hoped he was alright and she hurried over to him, "Hey Hiashi, Are you alright?" she asked worried.

Hiashi peeked at her and he said, "Yeah just overused my quirk. It's okay though" he gave a weak smile to reassure her as he pushed himself off the building.

"Two minutes and Twenty-eight seconds remaining; Leader is Hiashi Midoriya with thirty-two points" the robotic female voice said.

Misaki patted his back then she took off in an effort to find more bots so she could get more points. Soon enough she found and defeated three three-pointers putting her at 34 points. She peeked up to see the score, Misaki bakugou 34, Hiashi Midoriya 33, and Hiro Bakugou 28 points. Misaki was sure that Hiro was pissed with himself since he was in last place. Thought she continued to push herself. Then the ground began to rumble as a giant green robot with a 0 painted on it came barreling toward her. She yelped in surprise as Hiashi scooped her up and moved her out of its path.

"Thanks Hiashi, the zero-pointer?" She asked as she was looking at the gigantic robot. Hiashi nodded his head, "Yeah" 

"One minute remaining" the robotic female voice said. 

Hiashi hurried off taking down three two-pointers, two one-pointers and a three pointer putting him at 44 points. Misaki took down three three-pointers and two one-pointers giving her 45 points. Hiro took down four three-pointers,  four two-pointers and one one-pointer giving him 49 points. Hiro was panting heavily as he ran in search for more.

The simulation beeped and shut down as the ten minute timer shit down. Hiashi looked at Hiro and smiled, "good work!" He said then he saw his father standing by the control board and he was watching them, "you all did really well, however I am surprised to see you in 3rd place Hiashi" Deku said as he looked at the three children. 

"Sorry dad" Hiashi said to Deku who smiled, "don't be you got Rescue points this time around from when you saved Misaki from being squished." He said smiling he went to Hiro, "You do well with multiple targets but keep in mind as a hero there will he times that there will be people who need saving. You want to be a hero putting others before yourself will come a long way" he said.

"So I need for focus on all my surroundings?" Hiro asked

"Yes as a hero it will be your duty to keep civillians and your fellow heroes safe and uninjured." Deku said as he nodded his head.

"Right!" Hiro said as he looked up at Deku. 

The trio began to train together in the evenings after school and Hiashi also trained in the mornings with his father before school. As the training progressed Deku began to have them run different simulations that the UA mock battle simulation. He wanted them as trained as he could get them before they entered UA.

***5 Months later***

Hiashi, Hiro, and Misaki were walking to Hiashi's house for their regular scheduled training session. As they were making their way to the Midoriya household Hiashi heard his little sister, Izuka calling for him to wait up. Hiashi stopped and he peeked back to see her running toward him her green hair pulled back into a ponytail as her emerald green eyes were lit up with excitement. 

"What's up Izuka?" Hiashi asked as his sister caught up she was panting and resting her hands on her knees.

"Can I train with you three today? Please?" Izuka begged her eyes glistening with hope as she looked up at her older brother.

Hiashi wanted to tell her yes to let her train but there was one problem. Izuka was quirkless, her body was significantly weaker than the trios. he frowned a bit and he said, "Did you ask mom and dad?"

"Come on Hiashi, You know they would tell me no. Please?" Izuka begged she wanted to train and at the very least be able to protect herself from a villain.

"You know I would get into a serious amount of trouble if I let you Izuka. I'm sorry but listen to mom and dad, they say no to protect you" Hiashi said cautiously.

Izuka looked down her bangs covering her eyes as tears slipped down her cheeks, "Just because I'm Quirkless doesn't mean I am weak! I wish you all would give me the benefit of the doubt" she said as she rubbed her eyes with her right forearm and she ran off in tears. Hiashi took a deep breath and frowned as he watched the retreating figure of his sister.

"Is she always like that?" Misaki asked a bit worried about Izuka.

"She didn't used to be, she started that about four months ago" he said as they continued on their way to the Midoriya household.

Izuka had ran all the way home and she stormed to her room where she cried. She just wanted to be able to protect herself. as she was sobbing a black snake slithered from the open window in her room to under her bed, it's eyes glowing a ruby red. watching and listening to Izuka the snake laid in wait for it's master's orders. The master of the snake sat in his lair with a dark smirk on his lips as he listened. 

"A poor quirkless child, who only wants to be able to defend herself...We can help her but not yet...She needs stronger feelings of sadness and anger…" he said cackling darkly as he simply told his snake to lie and wait.

Hiashi walked into the midoriya household and led the twins to the basement so they could train. As they entered the basement Hiashi went to the control panel and began typing as well as adding specifications.

"There are three simulations that match your specifications… simulation number 3389: Rescue mission, allows you to save computer generated civilians from harm and to fight the previous league of villains members;  Dabi, Himiko, and Twice." The robotic female voice began.

"Simulation number 4379: vs villains; allows you to fight a series of 30 computer generated villains and the league of villains members, Shigaraki, Dabi, Himiko,  Twice, mr. Compress, and others." The female robotic voice said 

"Simulation 4489: team vs villain battle is locked. You do not have access to this simulation...password needed."

Hiashi raised an eyebrow wondering why 4489 was locked. He cleared his throat, "why is 4489 locked?"

"Simulation 4489: team vs villain battle is locked from user Hiashi Midoriya ...due to emotional loss for Uravity and Deku… Hiashi Midoriya is not ready to see such loss."

Hiashi was now more curious than ever as he entered his father's password and watched the screen.

"Simulation 4489: team vs villain battle is now unlocked. Playing simulation 4489…"  

As the simulation started up it showed a Suburban setting that was on fire. There was also what appeared to be a large group of villains and there were twenty heroes. Hiashi watched it as it played out and was stunned to learn that a lot of heroes died that day. Red riot; Alive. Ground Zero; Alive. Ingenium; Alive. Pinky; Deceased. Can't stop twinkling; deceased. Froppy; Alive. Uravity; Alive. Deku; Alive. Tailman; Deceased. Chargebolt; Alive. Anima; deceased. Sugarman; Deceased. Tentacole; Deceased. Earphone jack; Deceased. Cellophane; deceased. Tsukuyomi; Alive. Shoto; Alive. invisible girl; deceased. Grape juice; Deceased. Creati; Alive. ten heroes from his father's class had died fighting the league of villains and other villains that day. 

Hiro and Misaki were just as stunned as Hiashi was. To think four years into their careers ten heroes lost their lives. No wonder Hiashi's father wanted to train him early. He was trying to prevent losing his son in the future.  As the simulation ended Hiashi decided that they would do simulation number 3389: Rescue mission. 

As the simulation started the three future heroes got ready then rushed in to rescue computer generated civilians while fending off villains that were attacking some civilians. Without their knowledge Deku was watching them and writing down what they needed to work on. He was watching closely. As Hiashi picked up a child the computer generated Dabi popped up behind him. But before it could hurt him Hiro blasted it away from Hiashi.

"Three minutes remaining. Hiashi 12 saved; Hiro 10 saved; Misaki 10 saved. Civilians that still need saved: 20 enemies destroyed: 5 enemies still on field: 10..." The robotic female voice said. 

Hiashi was searching for more Civilians to save and he tackled an enemy when it was about to hurt a civilian. he then picked up the civilian and hurried to the safe zone. Misaki took out three enemies and gathered four civilians heading to the safe point. Hiro took out four villains and gathered up five civilians hurrying to the safe point.

"Hiashi 13 saved; Hiro 15 saved; Misaki 14 saved; Civilians in need; 10 enemies destroyed 13; enemies still on the field 2….two minutes remaining." the robotic female voice said.

Hiashi hurried out and was searching for more Civilians, when he noticed a crumbled building and he heard coughing in it. Hiashi used his quirk to lift up the Debris inside the crumbled building was four civilians. He helped them out and he was taking them to the safe point when a villain got between him and the safe point. Hiro took out the enemy for Hiashi and he went to see if he could find the last six civilians. He found four as his sister found the last two and they were heading for the safe point when the last villain appeared and the last villain was the leader.

Hiashi hurried out of the safe zone and touched the enemy making him begin to float upwards and he looked at the twins, "Hurry up get the civilians to safety" he said as he kicked the enemy further up and the villain grabbed Hiashi taking him up into the air with him. The twins nodded getting the last of the civilians to safety before coming out to help Hiashi with the last villain but the buzzer went off and the simulation ended. Hiashi landed himself and he smiled to the twins. It was at this point that he saw his father standing by the control panel with a clipboard.

"Hey dad" Hiashi said as he walked over to his father.

"Hey, I took the liberty of watching you and making notes of things i think will help you if you were to practice them more." Deku said as he smiled to the three teens. the three teens nodded their heads and said, "Alright, what do we need to do?"

"First of all, I think that you three should try fighting together and working together more. While you are doing well, it still needs work. Teamwork needs to be second nature. secondly, Misaki and Hiro, try to minimize the explosions near civilians, they aren't immune to it like you are. Hiashi if you use zerogravity get the debris moved before you help the civilians you don't want to accidentally send one into the air with the debris." he said smiling as he was explaining what he was seeing.

They listened and they took note so that they could work on it next training session. soon the twins changed back into their school uniforms and they began to head home.

*** 5 months latter ***

The trio was finally in the last month of training before the UA entrance exam. All three of them were excited for the exam, all three were sure they would all make it. these last five months they added in studying for the written part of the exam as well as keeping up their physical training. They made it to the Midoriya household deciding that they should start with the written studies first.  they all sat in Hiashi's room and they were studying. after an hour of written studies they got up to head and do their physical training. Izuka saw them heading in that direction and she grabbed her brother's arm, "Hiashi please let me train too. I just want to be able to protect myself please"

Hiashi sighed as he looked at his younger sister, "Believe me I would but you know dad put a security that won't let you down there after your last stunt. If you want to train that badly talk mom and dad into it then I will help you train." he said as he didn't want to get in trouble if she was down there and she got hurt.

Izuka became determined and she began to walk to her parents Agency so that she could talk to them. She wanted to train. when she was younger she wanted to be a hero but when she was told that she would be quirkless she decided that she at the very least wanted to be able to protect herself if it came down to it. As she entered the agency she was greeted by her/mother, " Izuka, What are you doing here shouldn't you be at home studying?" she asked as she hugged her daughter.

"Can I talk to you and dad please?" she asked as she looked at her mother. he mother sighed, "Is this about training again?"

"Mom please, Just to defend myself. I don't want to be useless. I-" Izuka started.

"Izuka, we say no for a reason. It's not that we think that you can't do it, really." Ochaco said softly as Deku walked into the area.

"Then why mom?!" Izuka snapped as she looked at her mother

"Izuka we say no because we think that you're not ready" Ochaco admitted looking a bit ashamed.

"I'm not ready?! I'm thirteen, I am more than ready" she argued

"You have a point Izuka" Deku said as he walked up to them. The two girls looked at Deku. 

"Ochaco we have been holding her back long enough. It would be good for her to learn to defend herself, after all Hiashi was training at her age it is only fair" Deku pointed out and ochaco sighed in defeat as she knew he was right.

"You're right Deku. Alright Izuka you can begin training tomorrow, ask your brother to start your training." she said as she looked at her daughter who was grinning with excitement.

"Okay yeah! Thank you! thank you!" she said as she hugged her parents and then she rushed out the door, running all the way home.

She was eagerly waiting for her brother and his friends to come out of the basement. after an hour the three came up and Izuka hugged her brother, Hiashi blinked and he looked down at her and hugged her back.

"They said yes! They said that I can start training tomorrow!" she said as she looked at Hiashi.

"That's great! I will get you set up tomorrow and you can train while we study the written part of the exam then we can switch" he said with a smile. Izuka nodded her head smiling.

As the weeks progressed and the trio completed their finals for their middle school class, Izuka had been training hard alongside them, and she was pretty good for being quirkless. Soon enough it was the night before the UA entrance exam. Hiashi went to bed early to get rest for the exam, but his nerves were fighting him. Finally after an hour of trying he fell asleep snoring lightly.
