When In Rome

Carson's project wasn't going very well as summer vacation came to a close—as Ivy pessimistically figured before he even started—but he was surprisingly bummed about it. To cheer him up she ended up going to his house with a tub of cookie dough ice cream.

He was surprised when she showed up to say the least. She had been able to hear his thoughts as she was driving into his neighborhood because her radius kicked in.

'Ugh, what do I even watch? I need something that'll make me feel better because working with those hearing aids is going nowhere fast. I don't want to let Ivy down but I definitely need a second opinion or I'll never figure this out.

'Which genre do I need right now…comedy? I'm not sure I could laugh for the life of me. Action? Fantasy? I don't want to watch anything depressing because that won't help. I can't believe I wasted my entire summer on nothing…'

Guilt pricked her conscience. He had spent so much time on this for her.
