Chapter 60: Tyler knoweth the bro code.

"The Avengers, led by Superman, who has returned to us, has done it again! Citizens of the planet, don't worry Ultron has been defeated and you can go outside. All help will be appreciated to restore the planet to what it was before!" A radio voice was heard in every place in the world.

A week after the fall of Ultron, they had successfully put up new radios in almost every city in the world to spread the news to the people.

The government worked hard to restore their societies to what it was before, and technology is being slowly rebuilt.

In the Collins farm, two young men are out in the fields, gardening.

One of them was taller and wider than the other, but both of them fit.

Kevin looked at his brother, seeing him working in the dirt, he couldn't help but to smile. It had been a long time since they worked together like this.

Tyler noticed that Kevin stopped working so he turned towards him and saw him just smiling.

"Hey, if you're as lazy with the ladies as you're in the fields... it's no wonder you're still single." Tyler shouted at him in slight annoyance. For some reason, even though he loved his elder brother, seeing his goofy smile annoyed him.

Hearing Tylers remark, Kevin couldn't help but to think back to his last kiss with Captain Marvel. She had disappeared after their kiss.

Then he couldn't help but to think about Laura... she had also disappeared. No one knew her location, he had asked around, wanting to meet her but his family was ignorant of her location.

They worried about her dearly.

Seeing Kevin's face looking as if he's in deep thought, Tyler couldn't help but to sigh.

His elder brother barely had any friends, no relationship, worked like an introvert and lately fell into deep thought just like right now.

If it wasn't for the fact that he was also superman, he would've worried that is brother is socially incompetent and would stay a single dog forever.

"My wifey has a sister... should I hook them up?" Tyler whispered to himself.

Kevin's eyes reached the blue skies, they are clear, and the wind slightly caresses his face while the sun warms it. He is simply enjoying the good times while he is in them.

Both Tyler and Kevin heard a car speeding towards the Collin farm, looking towards their parking place they found a classy car suddenly parking as a woman with a leather jacket stepped outside it.

She hurriedly looked around as if she was searching for someone.

And as she laid her eyes on Kevin she found herself shocked, and unable to move.

"Laura?" Kevin said her name.

She Suddenly ran towards him at her full speed and jumped him in a hug.

Kevin was just astonished at what was happening, as she cried in his arms.

Kevin noticed that Tyler had escaped and left them alone.

"Laura... I was worried about you..." He whispered as he hugged her.

"It's me that should say that, I thought you died?" She cried.

Kevin just let her cry it all out, feeling her warmth and soft nature he couldn't help but to feel protective, so he hugged her closer with one hand on the back of her head and the other on her waist.

"I thought you died... and I realised how much I love you. Everything in Branchville reminded me of you so I escaped this place to somewhere as far as possible. When I heard that you had come back and defeated Ultron I returned as fast as possible to tell you that you were wrong, I do love you, from the very beginning!" She cried in his arms, and as she spoke those last words she looked up with her puffy eyes and pink nose.

Kevin felt a huge plot twist was happening in his life, had he misunderstood her from the beginning?

"I... I..." He couldn't find the words to speak.

"It's fine if you don't love me back, just as long as you're alive." She said meekly and hugged him even tighter.

"I Didn't know that you felt that way... I'm sorry for hurting you..." Kevin felt like he had hurt someone he loved.

Laura was a tuff girl on the exterior, but on the inside she was a very soft girl hoping for love and family. And when she found a home in Branchville, she lit up the whole world with her happiness. Knowing that he was responsible for destroying that happiness, Kevin felt very guilty.

"As long as you're alive it's fine." She said.

"No it's not" Kevin responded.

"No it is, you don't understand, whenever I saw your name on the TV, whether it was as Superman or the author that everyone loves, I always smiled and became happy. Whenever I saw your sibling and thought of you, I was filled with happiness, whenever, your parents took care of me as if I was their daughter, I was filled with happiness, you brought me so much hope, not as Superman but as Kevin... I'm happy just being in your life, and for that you need to be alive..." She retorted.

"I... want you to be more than just someone in my life... I want you to be a big part of it as I was a big part of yours, Laura, I love you and have always loved you." Kevin said as if he finally found his resolve.

She looked up towards him with slightly pink cheeks and red lips. She usually looked cold but right now she looks like the warmest, kindest person in the world.

Kevin raised his hands and held her cheeks in his hands as he lightly squeezed making her lips pout.

'Cute' Kevin thought as he realised that she was just an innocent soul on the inside.

Looking into her brown eyes and pupils that had expanded, Kevin finally felt like the hole that was left in his heart since their break up was being filled again.

Laura felt very shy, this was the first time she truly had opened up, and given herself emotionally to someone. She has learnt that this is a necessary step in keeping those close to you.

But opening one's heart isn't the easiest thing to do, especially for someone that had never done it before. So she felt very exposed and shy, but being exposed in front of the one she loved felt right.

She didn't know how lovely she looked at this moment, like an innocent schoolgirl being in love for the first time even though she's in her mid twenties.

Kevin couldn't help but to close in on her lips as he saw her pink face, he had never seen this side of her before, she was always a bit tomboyish and cold, but he couldn't help but to fall in love even more.

As they kissed, a "KA-CHICK" Sound was made as a flash of light came about.
