Chapter 36: Pain is only temporary, so feel it for a bit

"Ultron!" Tony stated as if everyone should know who this is. when he saw that everyone was confused he explained further.

"It's an Ai system that was developed by me and Bruce. I got the idea from Dr. Hank Pym after receiving some of his earlier notes on AI. I developed it with the skeleton code for Jarvis, adding Dr. Han Py.s ideas as the muscles." Tony said quite excited about his newest creation.

"What is its purpose." Superman said, trying to find a reason to stop Tony from going through with this.

Tony frowned at Superman's tone of questioning, it was as if Superman had challenged his intelligence.

"To protect earth." Tony answered.

"What if it deems humans as a threat to earth, you should make the goal of it to protect humans from Aliens... no from alien invasions, the more specific you are the better."

"Superman, Leave the thinking to me and Bruce banner and I'll leave the muscle jobs to you and Bruce banner." Tony answered.

"This is the second time you're undervaluing my opinions Tony, what if Ultron becomes corrupt, finds humans as a threat to earth, and turns on humanity?" Superman tried to convey his worries, after all, Ultron wasn't an unfamiliar name to him.

"Sunny-man, I have put all necessary safety measures in place, don't put your nose where it doesn't belong." Tony said irritated.

After all, he had already thought through these matters with Dr Banner, while Dr. Hanks notes delved quite deeply into these matters as well.

He wasn't blindly building an AI that could potentially destroy humanity. He understood all these without Superman reminding him as if he was a child.

"My nose belongs exactly where the safety of humanity is. If you create something that kills even a single person, I will hold you accountable!" Superman said, quite displeased with Tony's too carefree attitude.

"Then should we hold you accountable for the soldiers that died when you fought the hulk? No offence Banner" He questioned superman back while quipping to Banner, that was actually in the background but not in the hologram view.

"None taken!" Bruce banner answered from outside the screen. He had been in the room with Tony all along.

"And if I hadn't been there, how many more would have died? No offence Banner!" Superman questioned back.

"None taken!" Bruce Banner said from the hologram screen.

Tensions were rising between the two Avengers. And all the Shield workers were split between who they thought was right.

On one hand, they had the genius that created most of the things they are using, a very dependable figure in the matters of science and technology.

On the other hand, they had THE hero, Superman.

"As long as you've put measures in place, then fine, continue with your Ultron plan!" Nick Fury said, he wasn't taking sides, he simply wanted to protect humanity, and Tony's ideas rarely failed. Maybe he was taking sides.

Superman saw that his protest yielded no victory, So he flew towards New York.

As he flew above the streets of New York, He found Spiderman and Daredevil fighting Rhino, Dr octopus and Electro, The Vulture, the shocker, Sandman and Green Goblin.

The Green Goblin had a robotic arm and leg.

Spiderman and Daredevil had the help of a dark skinned man and a white Kung Fu master?

But they were still outclassed and outnumbered.

Superman used his heat vision and made sandman into glassman.

As they saw sandman crystallize, they all halted and looked upwards, there they saw a man in white and golden suit, with his white cape fluttering in the wind. His eyes were red from the laser beams he shot out.

Green Goblin felt his remaining arm and leg itch. He felt slightly afraid and thought of ways to escape.

The first thing Superman did was that he appeared in front of Green Goblin, and gave him a punch to the stomach that made him thrust backwards as if he was a bullet, crashing into a building site.

Superman saw that he was still barely alive, but his organs were failing so it won't be for long.

"Superman! I didn't know you'd be here, otherwise I'd be dressed in a new suit!" Spiderman said nervously as he picked his arm up and smelled his pits.

Daredevil just nodded at him, Iron fist gave him a Kung Fu martial artist salute.

Luke Cage still was focused on his opponent.

Now that Superman was here, the sinister seven lost all their will to be villains, they thought of ways to not end up like sandman and Green Goblin.

"Superman, have you ever tasted something so good it was electrifying?! " Electro shouted in slight madness as he shot his electric forces at Superman, hoping to stun Superman before escaping.

Superman allowed the sparks to reach him, and they danced upon his suit, but he barely felt anything other than some tickling.

"Have you ever tasted something so spicy that you felt your whole body burn?" Superman asked back as he shot very weak lasers from his eyes burning up Electro, but not killing him.

'Isn't he some kind of good guy on the inside?' Superman wasn't sure as he wasn't very into the marvel universe in his past.

He had wanted to live in this world because in contrast to DC, this world had lots of light, but he felt that the DC universe was very dark. Even though the forces of evil and good were equally bad in both.

Electro fell down, looking like a kebab.

Volture tried to fly away but his wings simply melted thanks to super laser eyes, making him fall down to the ground, breaking his legs.

Superman flashed behind Dr. Octopus knocking him out. He caught him and looked at the location where his robot arms were corrupting his mind, finding the place he simply smelt that place very carefully with laser eyes. Simply destroying the corrupting effect on his mind.

'Hopefully when he wakes up he'll be back to normal.' Superman thought as he dropped Dr. octopus to the ground.

Suddenly he felt a punch to his back, creating great shockwaves.

Shocker was shocked to see his shock waves not shocking superman and throwing him away from the shock waves.

Superman had not moved a single millimeter.

Superman turned around and caught the Shockers wrists, squeezing lightly, destroying the shockers gloves and wrists.

The Shocker fell down to the ground crying out in pain as his wrists were broken.

Rhino felt that there was nowhere to escape, so his only chance was to charge towards Superman.

Superman simply raised his arm and stopped Rhino's charge by holding his horn. Then he dragged Rhino's head closer towards himself as superman lightly punched the rhino in the head, making him unconscious. But the shockwave from his punch made even Spiderman and the others take a step back.

"And That's how you make shock waves!" Superman said to the Shocker that was down hugging his broken wrist.

"You'll take care of the rest." Superman said to the heroes, ready to take flight.

"Superman wait, I have a question!" Spiderman shouted in panic.

Superman stopped in his tracks, waiting for spiderman to speak.

Seeing as Superman actually stopped, Spiderman felt flustered. Usually Superman ignored him but this time he listened...

'Maybe.. just maybe my feelings have reached him!' Spiderman thought hopefully.

Superman was really the symbol of Hope.

"Erm.. Could I get your phone number?" Spiderman asked in a very shy tone.

All the other heroes looked at him weirdly, this dude was confident enough to play around and make jokes during fights against super villains, but now he was like a shy little Hinata in front of Naruto.

"... I don't... have a phone?" Superman tried to find a reason to say no, then he turned around and flew away.

"Did you see that, Superman would have given me his number if he had a phone!" Spiderman said very excited, he had only been declined because of circumstances.

Daredevil walked up to him, lightly patting him on the shoulder. "Dude, even I have a phone, and I'm blind!" He said trying to comfort Spiderman.

"I also think he has a phone..." Luke Cage said, wanting to wake up Spiderman from his delusions.
