Nobility Prick

Shana looked at Jack's expression and trembled a bit. It was like staring into the pits of hell at which in any moment an explosion would erupt and shake the continent. Alice, on the other hand, saw the anger in Jack but to her he also seemed distraught about hearing the hero's. Shana's view saw much more rage in Jack than Alice, because in her younger days she was an adventurer who was at level 40! This was considered a huge accomplishment for a commoner as unless you are born with a richer background or had connections to powerful people, it was considered extremely hard for someone like Shana to reach that height.

Naturally from her experience, she was able to detect other's level unless they were too high or used some item or magic to conceal it. With Jack that was not the case as even if someone hidden their level then it would appear as a question mark, but for Jack it showed nothing of a level but just the cold aura that he gives off. Through the aura and experience with people's emotions, Shana guessed that he is around level 15 to 23 at best.

Before Shana could open her mouth once more, a loud scream could be heard outside their house, and surprised Alice, Jack and Shana. The screams interrupted Jack and his thoughts causing him to snap back to reality.

"What the hell was that," Jack asked.

"Oh no…" Alice quivered, "he is at it again!"

"Stay here Alice," Shana tapped Alice's shoulder reassuringly and proceeded to leave to see what happened.

Jack's eyes trailed Shana as she left and decided to follow her.

Jack stepped outside and brown horses with faces strained in exhaustion. Three men with fine navy blue shirts and shoulder plates were on top of their own horses with one who was off his horse. He had blond sleek hair, with a white robe made of good equality materials that seemed to cost more than the entire village. He gave an aura of nobility and had his hand behind his back to show his authoritative demeanor. As Jack got closer to them, he saw a girl with unknown features, as her whole body was burned past the point of recognition!

"How could you do this Renald!" Shana shouted to the blond man.

"Oh Shana! There you are. Also what could you possibly be talking about?" Renald grinned calmly, "This woman did not give her payment and then proceeded to insult me. The ones who had seen what happened will even justify it for me."

The people who witnessed what happened all nodded in agreement to Renald but out of his sight, trembled in fear. The truth was that the woman did not have the money to pay him, that was true, but Renald would not have that and tried to grab the girl, to take her to his place so he can have his way with her. The women refused and proceeded to struggle which caused her to accidentally smack Renald in the face. This angered him and he burnt her while she was alive!

Shana was very pissed off as she knew what kind of person Renald is. He was a rich snob that uses the fact that he is the son of the 'Cross' family who is the 3rd largest trading business in the earth territory. In hindsight this is not that big of a deal, but in the earth territory they are seen as very important. Renald travels to poor villages and threatens them saying that his family owns the place and that they all must pay tax for staying. However he did not touch Alice's village until recently because of Shana living there, protecting the villagers. Even though the 'Cross' family was important in the earth territory, Shana originated from the fire territory causing their authority to be non-existent to Shana and since she was level 40, if news spread, no questions asked, the fire territory would intervene.

"I got bedridden for a few months and you started exploiting this village!" Shana exclaimed angrily.

Renald huffed, talking offence to Shana's shouting, "tsk, a commoner like you dare say these things to ME. seems like you're out of bed but I doubt you could protect them" He retorted, each word filled with arrogance.

What Renald said was true though since Shana was currently still weak and was just starting to recover.

Jack, having been listening and understanding that Renald is no good, started to laugh like a madman making everyone notice him.

"Eh?" Renald commented, turning to Jack, "who is this man?"

"Look at this child trying to act like an adult," Jack chuckled in a condescending tone.

Baffled by Jack's tone, Renald got angry, "who do you think you are talking to me, the SON of the Cross family!"

"I am glad you admit you're a child who relies on his family for authority," Jack scoffed, "Also why would I give a shit about some family name? I was in a very bad mood and to my luck some people brought themselves to me! I didn't know you four wanted to die so badly."

Renald and the 3 men laughed at Jack, thinking he was some lunatic to try and pick a fight with them

"Oh you're very funny, what is your name?" Renald asked mockingly to Jack.

"Sadly I can't say my name, so you can call me Jack," Jack smirked.

"Alright Jack, since you're so bold, I will fight you myself without my guardsmen and make you suffer for daring to insult me and my family," Renald grinned, "but I may let you off with losing a limb if you grovel and apologise."

"Jack please don't do this and just apologise," Shana pleaded worriedy, "it's better than death! He is at the peak of level 30 and his guardsmen are all level 34. Sadly you don't have a chance."

In fact, multiple villagers pleaded that he just apologizes. Even though it's their first time seeing Jack, they did not want another death in the village, especially someone who is "friends" with Shana.

Of course Jack didn't listen, he already knew that Renald was powerful without being told his level but he honestly didn't care. He needed something to take on his rage and four "strong" assholes was what he needed.

Jack concentrated his ice energy onto his fist causing them to freeze, making them a quarter of the ice rock that he was inside in terms of hardness. Unknowing to Jack, the ice he was in was so hard that people around level 80's with all their might wouldn't even cause a crack in the ice!

Jack charged towards Renald, clenching his right fist, to attack him. Renald jumped backwards by pushing his right leg from the ground before Jack punch landed on him.

Instead of hitting Renald, Jack punch collided with the ground causing the ground to crack in pieces to the point that even some of the rocks flew off from the ground. Everyone gasped in shock from Jack's punch especially Renald, the guardsmen and Shana since they all thought Jack was around level 15 to 23 but that punch said otherwise.

In an instant after his punch, unfazed by what he did himself, Jack looked up from the ground and breathed cold mist straight in the direction of his view, thus causing the ground to freeze in a sheet of ice. Unluckily for Renald, this caused him to slip and he landed on the slippery floor, falling down on his backside.

Before Renald could react he saw Jack in the air pointing his right arm right at his face. Renald was terrified, since he saw Jack's first punch cracking the ground into pieces, and he knew if that landed on him, it would have killed him or caused life threatening injuries. Now without any time to dodge, the punch increased in power as it acts alongside gravity and Renald took the punch, directly in his face.

BOOM!

More rocks flew out of the ground, destroying it and causing a small crater of a few feet. When the dust cleared, everyone including the guardsmen were shocked to see a headless corpse with a burst of blood where the head used to be and an ice cold fist emitting cold energy from it...the headless corpse was Renald's.

"Some level 30 he was hahaha!!!" Jack started to laugh again like a maniac, everyone around him felt scared of this stranger named Jack, even Shana trembled as she watched him after seeing this.

"You will pay for the murder of Renald Cross!" The guardsmen shouted with anger and all of them jumped off their horses to charge at Jack.

"Bring it on, you will be joining this snob soon!" Jack shouted, releasing a lot of killing intent at the guards. His right fist started to become even colder, releasing cold mist that covered his entire fist.

"TIME TO DIE"
