Nice To Meet You

August sat meditating on the floor in the middle of his courtyard.

It took him only a little bit of time to completely calm his mind after killing for the first time and he no longer felt any type of way about it. Instead the thing he was most worried about was someone discovering what had happened but he couldn't focus on that right now and would deal with if and when it happened.

He had read a lot of sorcery basics at the library and was now contemplating everything he had learned. Not only was he doing that but he his creation core was automatically silently absorbing elemental energy into his body.

Like this a night went by. Although he was still in Level 8 of the Apprentice Realm he felt as though his strength had improved as his knowledge in sorcery had improved.

The sun was glistening and students of the academy could be heard all around.

August finally opened his eye from his meditation. Although he had meditated all night and didn't sleep, he didn't feel tired at all.

Absorbing elemental energy would rejuvenate the body making it to where sleeping and eating were basically optional.

August grabbed his staff and threw across his back and headed out. Today was his first day of classes.

Walking into the classroom he saw around 50 students. Every student here was a freshman but out of all the freshman here he had the lowest level.

He found a seat in the corner that had nobody around it and sat there and silently waited for the instructor like everyone else.

Soon enough a tall burly man who looked to be in his mid 40's walked in.

"I am Professor Luck and you all have the honor of having me as your freshman teacher"

Every student had face full of black lines as they all shared a single thought. Who the hell does this guy think he is?

Professor Luck didn't waste any time getting to it as he didn't even bother the learn the students names.

"Can anyone tell me the basic rule of energy?"

After this question was asked 49 of 50 students raised their hand.

But of course like all teachers, Professor Luck called on the one student that didn't have their hand raised.

"You." He said, pointing towards August.

August sighed. He clearly didn't have his hand raised yet he was still targeted. "Energy can neither be created nor destroy and can only be transferred from one thing to another."

"If you knew the answer than why wasn't your hand up." Professor Luck questioned.

"I just don't like attention." August said coolly.

Professor Luck no longer paid attention to him and continued on. "What he said is correct. Us sorcerers do not created energy but instead harness it from the air and transform it into spells."

A an extremely breathtaking beauty in the back suddenly raised her hand and asked "Could a sorcerer possibly become powerful enough to created energy themselves?"

Some people didn't even hear her question has they were too busy drooling over her looks.

Even August turned around and was completely stunned.

F*** isn't she simply too beautiful, he thought to himself.

He forcefully removed his eyes from her as he looked back at the professor as he too was a little curious as to what his answer would be.

"I suppose it could be possible but at the least there is now one from this sky that is strong enough to achieve it." Professor Luck answered.

"You said this sky specifically. Are there other skies?" August didn't even raise his hand and couldn't help but to blurt out his question.

"Yes. From my understanding there is a total of 13 Skies. Essentially 13 different dimensions. But the higher number might not be stronger as the sky higher sky could just be occupied by a different race. But that race might not be as strong as the race in the sky bellow it." Professor Luck didn't get mad at August for not raising his hand and instead answered his question the best he could.

"What sky are we in now?" August blurted out another question.

"The first."

Every student in the room including August sucked in a breath of air.

Most of them had never knew about the different skies besides the few that had large backgrounds. The realized that they truly were frogs at the bottom of a well.

August didn't proceed to ask anymore questions but instead sat there in deep thought. No one knew what was going on inside his head except him. They were only in the 1st Sky which meant if he wanted to get to the 7th then he had a long long way to go.

Class continued on. They covered the the basics of casting a spell and they each had to successfully demonstrate a spell.

August demonstrated an extremely low level spell as it was the only one he had complete confidence in successfully casting on the first attempt.

When class ended, mostly all of the boy flocked towards the beautiful girl who had asked about powerful sorcerers being able to create energy at the beginning of class.

One of those boys was an elite genius from Polar Ice Kingdom. Polar Ice Kingdom was an extremely large kingdom in the south. Much larger than Breaking Sky Kingdom. He wasn't merely just from there but he was the prince of the kingdom. Prince Noah Frost.

"May I ask what your beautiful name is?" He approached the beauty and asked.

To his surprise, she completely ignored him and cut her way through the crowd and arrived in front of one of the boys who were leaving.

This boy was extraordinary handsome. His looks would could probably make even the gods weep and hold their heads in shame.

"Excuse me but may I your name?" She asked him.

The young man before her smiled before replying "August, August Cloud."

She too smiled. Her smile seemed to light up the entire room and everything else seemed dim.

"My name is Autumn Night." She said as she reached out her small hand to shake his.

"Nice to meet you."

This is a shorter chapter as I have spent the last couple of days planning out my story. It does indeed start slow as I introduce all the characters and also introduce the world but the pace will pick up. This is not a filler chapter as the characters named in this chapter will be very important to the story.
