Chapter 51

As the days passed, both Wang and Ai had found themselves immersed in many different old texts that they'd found among the ruins. Ai himself was finding that his own abilities seemed slightly different then how they should be. Though he wasn't really able to figure out how or why he was different.

This was different from Wang, who was able to see that his coding them into this world had caused an unbalanced upset in this world. What more, these facts seemed to make a 'glitch' in how the cultivation worked.

In all honesty, the strength Wang possessed was different from how it should be. He shouldn't have had as strong of a power as he did, nor should he hold the abilities he had learned in the game. All of these were a good and bad thing. For one, he wasn't forced to be suppressed at the start, however it would later come back to bite him. His cultivation would undoubtedly reach a bottleneck that would never come to pass. This all lied in the creation of the 'glitched' cultivation he created.

There was never supposed to be a separate system in cultivation, only because of him, this world changed to format it in, changing how people new cultivation and making it seem as it had always been as such. It also made it so the world was 'glitched' out to format himself and the other 'users' that came to this world.

In order to fix this, Wang would need to abandon his cultivation achievements when he reached the next stage, the true beginning stage. He would also need to get Ai to do the same, or he himself would also have issues. The male no longer knew that he wasn't truly of this world. Despite his rebirth, he still remained as a 'glitched' cultivator. This was more likely the actual reason as to why Ai's cultivation rank and strength seemed unbalanced.

His race was naturally weaker than other spirit beasts, but he was also glitched which made him strong, yet his bloodline forcefully making him weaker was causing complications with his cultivation.

It was laughable how this world seemed ignorant as to the fact that this was all wrong. Maybe he should have taken more time before carelessly causing them to be stuck here. Though, at least he would be able to correct this path now, and he was sure that the other 'users' stuck here would either find a way to correct the glitches within their cultivation, or have someone else guide them to the correct path. If not, then he didn't really feel much guilt. They shouldn't have followed him here to begin with!

"Ai, come here for a second" Wang finally said after sorting his thoughts. The little fox turned to look at him, shaking his fur slightly before going to snuggle into the others lap. He had grown accustomed to using his fox form in order to avoid Wang's tormenting.

Lightly petting the little fox, Wang slowly allowed his own spiritual energy to ease into the fox, searching for the issues the glitch had caused. He was also doing the same in his own body as he focused.

Ai himself wasn't sure what the other was doing, he just enjoyed the pleasant feeling of being pet while warmth washed over him. He really should have kept a better eye on the other, but he just couldn't find it himself to do so!

When this assessment was over, Wang let out a long sigh before shaking his head. This was going to be rather difficult. Not only would both need to more or less scrap what they've learned so far...He had to find a way to prevent them from ending back up at the start of the glitched cultivation instead of the starting point of the true path.

Ai ignored the others gloomy mood before shifting, his own eyes moving around the cave they now were in. It had been one of the many they'd found that held the research they needed.

His gaze narrowed slightly as he got off the others lap before making his way to the edge, where some of the other scrolls they hadn't yet gone through were scattered.

In a daze, he shifted back to his human form while reaching to pick up a scroll that seemed to draw him in, his gaze hazing over for a moment as he took in what was written on the paper.

It wasn't known when, but a soft glow began to form between Ai's brows, his mind was filling with information that was different from his naturally inherited memories, but rather as if something was providing him information from an external factor.

It was this scene that Wang had come across as he finally pulled himself from his own troubled thoughts. Shifting, he moved to get closer to the other, keeping his gaze on the youth before him as he tried to figure out what was happening.

When the glow finally faded, Ai blinked a few times before finding the scroll he'd been looking at was now just a blank slate. There was no longer anything written on it. Frowning, he turned to look at Wang, confused.

"What happened?" Wang then asked, testing to see if whatever had happened was good or bad, he was ready to act if something caused harm to Ai.

"I don't know...Just, I remember strange things...." he stated, which wasn't odd. He now possessed a new skill that was unknown to the spirit beasts. A skill he should have never been able to obtain as a true spirit beast. The information passed onto him was one that many cultivators would die to get.

What more, after a moment, the air in the cave began to stir as it rushed to Ai, the different orbs of spiritual energy converging and rushing into the point where the glow had been, a soft symbol formed. This symbol was different from the language of this world, but it also wasn't foreign.

Wang was able to understand what it meant at a glance. It was the mark of a newly born Pill Master.
