Owners

A pet's life can be very relaxing. This is almost always the case for animals such as dogs and cats. To the dogs, their owners are their everything. For the cats, the owners are their lifelong servants.

But to tortoises, human owners are just temporary providers. They'll need to deal with grief and also create backup plans. The event of their owner passing is already set in stone.
