Change of Pace (Part 1)

Dai knew that he was losing some soldiers to the giant army and he knew that the soldiers would have to be commended for fighting alongside him for quite some time. He was losing strength due to overusing Hellfire Mode and he cursed. "Retreat for now!" His command ranged out all of the sudden on the battlefield. Dai deactivated the Hellfire Mode, landing on both of his knees. That wasn't wise. He thought, feeling the backlash of using Hellfire Mode when he wasn't fully trained as a Demon King. Dai felt Eli lift him into his arms and he passed out, knowing that he was safe. Yu, Eli and the army retreated as Dai ordered. Eli knew that King Dai just wanted them to be safe and to heal up.

As Eli lead the army away, the giant army were staring at their commander in fear as the commander started to kill and eat the other giants. The giant commander slaughtered his entire giant army and he growled in pure rage. He felt humiliated and he wanted revenge! "This war isn't over!" He shouted, sending shockwaves all across the area.

"He's insane!" Yu shouted at once when she heard him. Eli agreed, but he didn't vocalize his agreement as he stared at Dai. He was so worried about his king. Yu was worried about Dai as well, but she gazed around the forest to see if they were being followed. When she found no sign of another enemy, she was relieved.

When Eli believed that they were far enough, he stopped and in turn, the army stopped. Yu tended to both Dai and Trelawney. Dai was just extremely tired and Trelawney had just gotten over being super tired, so she would be awake soon. Yu thought. She ran a hand through both Dai's and Trelawney's hairs. "Foolish husband of mine. You knew that this would have happened if you used Hellfire Mode for a longer period of time." Yu gently scolded Dai. Eli watched his Queen with interest as she scolded King Dai. He simply smiled at the two. He sat down beside Trelawney and he kept watch over her. Trelawney was still resting from her power overuse and so Eli wanted to watch over her to keep her safe. With King Dai out like a light, Eli feared for the demon army for once in his life. He knew he couldn't actually lead the army as a leader as he was simply the commander of the army. Eli stared at Yu in desperation and Yu knew what she had to do.
