Real Nightmare

'Hayley~.'

Something soft and furry hit Hayley's leg waking her up as she heard a voice while half sleep… she slowly started to wake up… she recognized that voice …and the surprise made her open her eyes and look down at her feet where a cat was barely able to stand.

"Oh my god, Dante I'm so happy that you are all right!"

Hayley grabbed the weak cat that was hitting his head against her before. She hugged the cat, and a great weight was lifted from her. She was so glad that he was okay.

"What are you doing out of bed? You should be resting in your bed… don't answer me you shouldn't be using your powers yet."

She scolded him a little and put him back on the infant incubator. She looked around and noticed that Spencer wasn't there, the spear was gone too.

'Help… Dana~…'

Dante's voice was weak, it was difficult for him to use his powers, but he must have noticed something subconsciously and knew that Dana was in some kind of danger.

Hayley moved and took Hope by the shoulders…

"Hope!"

"…mmm?!?"

"Wake up, go get people and try to wake up G, Dante says that something might have happened to Dana I'm going to the gym."

Hope opened her big eyes in surprise, what she heard was enough for her to wake up completely.

Hayley, knowing that Hope had woken up, left the room right away and ran towards the gym.

Hope went, and after a few tries managed to wake up Gerhard, she managed to wake him up. Gerhard wasn't even near his top condition, but it was an emergency, and even if he was a normal person he would run to help. Gerhard couldn't bring his hammer in that state, but he should be able to defend himself and win some time for more people to arrive.

Hope didn't have her MRGR with her, with this weather it would be impossible to snipe, someone. Instead, she had a simple handgun that Gabriel gave her during the battle in the east gate, small weapons were better in short range and more comfortable to carry.

Hope accelerated using her shoes and left Gerhard behind.

Cecily woke up sweating from the nightmare she just had…

As she tried to calm down, she looked around scanning the gym, where a few lights were barely able to illuminate the place. Looking at it didn't help, the scarce light and shadows remind her of the nightmare that she was having.

She looked around, she was resting with Spencer's group. Next to her, a little girl was hugging a snake while sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face. She looked at the girl, and the memories from the nightmare became even more vivid… she was scared… it can't be, right? She didn't use her power while sleeping, right?

She moved her trembling hand to touch Dana… she needed to know that all of what she saw was a just a dream but before she could… something hit the main gate of the gym.

* thump * thump

"This can't be…"

She went pale when the same scenario from her nightmare started to play out.

The unexpected sound of something hitting the door of the gym, scared the people that were sleeping until now, they started to react as they were abruptly awakened, most of them moved towards the back of the gym while some of the braver ones stood in front and even got near the door out of curiosity.

Cecily moved the still half sleeping little girl behind her… she already knew how this would play out she was powerless she thought of warning the people in front of her of what was about to happen but would that really change anything? At least, for now, she knew what is going to happen can she really change it?

The next strike bent the door…

"Careful!!"

The people around the door moved away just in time as the third hit sent the door flying… if the warning wasn't made at that moment, they knew that at least one of them would have been hit and that they were unlikely to survive a blow…

'I changed the nightmare…'

Cecily thought to herself, but the very next moment something that didn't happen on her dream played out…

The guy that was slammed by the door during her dream was in front of a humanoid figure that was walking from the rain.

"Who are you!!"

Without responding a huge arm slammed against the guy's face, the guy bathed in his blood, with the face destroyed by that punch, fell in the remains of the door and the blood started to flow making a pool under the door… in the end, the only difference between reality and her dream was that the guy that died was on top of the door instead of under it…

She couldn't save him.

"KYAAA!"

Screams started, people didn't have were to run so tried to get into the bathrooms or escape through the windows.

Just as in the dream, the humanoid figure came inside the gym, and everyone could see that in between his hair two horns were hidden, they coiled around themselves similar to the ones of a goat, and his legs were furry and ended in hooves.

Behind him, there was a fat half-pig human and guy with big horns, slightly shorter than the others.

Some people went to the front trying to stop them. Some of them attacked right away and were killed without efforts by the semi-humans, only two of the humans managed to survive the first wave of attacks.

"Behind you!!"

One of the guys turned his head just in time to see the bull guy taking off one of his horns and throwing it, the guy barely managed to dodge, but the way he avoided left him near the man-goat who once again shown his enormous strength stamping him into a wall.

At this time there was just one person between the three semi-humans and the refugees, Alfred was in a clear disadvantage as he needed to fight against three people that were stronger than himself.

Cecily saw it with pity, she knew his origins and because of that any warning she gave him it would be meaningless, back in the NDR she didn't have authority over the fighting goons, just her personal servants were made to follow her orders.

Just as Cecily expected she heard a cry behind her.

"Cai-Cai no!!"

The little light-blue snake was dashing forward to help Alfred. She changed her size to one more fitting for fighting. She moved and tried to coil around one of the semi-beast, and it managed to take some pressure off Alfred, but the semi-beasts were just playing around…

Cecily knew that there were 3 more beasts outside… and it was about time for them to appear.

A fast-moving pig appeared from nowhere and started to eat the bodies of the already fallen people.

They had now an idea of what happened to their guards. Following the pig, two more goats appeared…

This was when the real nightmare started.

Alfred did his best to fight against the five enemies, but slowly the attacks were weakening him as in each attack a part of his body was lost and ate by one of the beasts.

The people looked terrified as they saw what the destiny has prepared for them. The moment that Alfred dies was when the beasts were going to start the massacre.

Meanwhile, Cai-Cai was hurt by a flying horn and had to move away freeing the pig-man. She managed to break one of his arms and two legs, but I knew that after a few minutes, this guy will regenerate and be ready to fight again.

People turned desperate, some tried to run away from the fight, run past the beast or fight them and help Alfred.

The people that almost get to the door were pieced by flying horns. The nightmare was in full display in front of Cecily, about a dozen of people have died already, and she knew that this was her end, too, because in her dream she came right after Dana…

A chilling air spread in the whole gym bringing a shiver to humans and beasts.

A young woman, dripping water because of the rain appeared at the door, if you looked at her carefully, you would notice that in some parts of her body the water turned into ice, this gave her a scary appearance, but her presence wasn't in Cecily's dream… maybe something changed.
