Originally, Davis thought Evelynn would be reasonably able to face her ridiculous immortal tribulation because of her Earth Dragon's defense, but after witnessing Eldia and Nadia's Immortal Tribulations, he knew that his karmic burden flowing to them screwed up the difficulty by one level higher.

Consequently, Evelynn would be unfit to face her immortal tribulation or risk a higher chance of death.

"Sigh, I shouldn't have absorbed Misteltae's blood." Evelynn gently sighed.

That failed immortal tribulation blood had added a needless burden to her tribulation.

"No, without that, you wouldn't have had fate with the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Empress." Davis quickly shook his head, "It was I who implicated you with my karmic burden."

"Absolutely not. You just feel too responsible by yourself. It is I who should lament my weakness."
