Queen Of The Pirates

In a virtually empty bar, Ori and the mystery blonde sat opposite each other. Neither said a thing just staring at the other.

"Sigh! I didn't think I'd meet another like myself."

Ori looked at her with a questioning gaze.

"Like yourself?"

Hearing his confusion she couldn't help but look at him slightly confused.

"Someone who's experienced the Samsara cycle."

"You really are reincarnated?!"

She looked at him with an odd expression as she asked.

"You didn't know before? Then why were you looking at me as if you knew me when we passed each other earlier?!"

As she asked that her guard was raised as if preparing to attack at the first sign of trouble.

When he saw her raise her guard he understood that she should be on the run from someone and was scared of being recognised.

"I don't mean you any harm, you just look really familiar."

When she heard that, she didn't relax, instead she became even more tense.

"What do you mean familiar?"

Ori looked at her as if still in shock. He frowned as he considered whether he should say the truth. Eventually he decided to go with it otherwise he may never get answers to the questions that had arose in his head.

"I guess you could say you look like someone from my past life!"

This time it was the mystery blonde's turn to feel shocked.

"Your past life? You mean you actually remember your past life?!"

"Don't you?!"

The blonde shook her head as she replied.

"Not really."

Hearing that Ori was a little surprised then he remembered that the only reason he got to retain his memories in this life was because he had chosen to forsake destiny. The sound of her voice brought him out of his daze.

"I only received partial fragmented memories after eating a certain devil fruit."

As a child Ori had read all the books in both Marcus' and Walters studies and one of those books was a list of all known devil fruits and their abilities. When he heard that she only received partial fragmented memories after eating a devil fruit he immediately guessed the fruit.

"Samsara Fruit!"

Hearing his guess she looked at him in shock which immediately turned to vigilance as he continued half talking to her and half to himself.

"That would explain why you're able to sense the fact that I was reincarnated from my aura, but I can't feel it on you."

As he stopped he saw a mix of shock and dread plastered on her face. He raised his hands as he said.

"I don't mean you any harm, I was just shocked."

In the book it mentioned that the user of the Samsara fruit once awakened would be virtually unkillable as long as they had energy making it one of the world's most sought after devil fruits. He understood that she must have people chasing after her for her devil fruit and was scared he was one of them.

When she heard him say he meant her no harm she was still sceptical, but for some reason when she saw his face she believed him.

Ori then went on to ask.

"What were your memories of?"

Though still cautious, she wasn't completely on edge as she spoke to him.

"Nothing much just a few faces and a certain technique."

As she said that, Ori subconsciously shifted his gaze to her forehead where the diamond shaped purple "birthmark" was.

She was a bit surprised to see him look at her forehead at the mention of a technique, but then she remembered that he said he recognised her from his previous life.

"You said you recognised me from your past life… Did we know each other."

Ori shook his head as he answered.

"No. Well I knew you, but you didn't know me."

She looked at him with an odd light as she thought about his meaning.

"Was I a princess in my past life as well?"

Ori was startled by her words.

[As well? You're a princess in this life?!]

Then he remembered the Wano symbol printed on the back of her haori.

[Does that mean she's a princess of Wano? Wait, what would the princess of one of the major powers in the new world be doing here in East Blue?!]

Even though he was curious he didn't ask as she was already cautious enough without bringing more suspicion on himself.

"I guess thinking of you as a princess in your previous life wouldn't be too much of a stretch."

"HAHA. It seems I'm destined to be a queen, no matter what life it is!"

Ori didn't reply, he merely smiled at her slightly. She looked at him for a few seconds as if trying to make her mind up about something before nodding and asking.

"How would you like to join the crew of this princess?!"

Ori gawked at her question before breaking out in laughter.

"Moments ago you were suspicious of me and now you're asking me to join your crew? What makes you think you can trust me?!"

She looked at him with a smile as she replied.

"Call it a gamble I'm willing to take!"

Ori didn't know how to reply to her so called woman's intuition.

Seeing that he wasn't replying to her question, she asked again.

"Soo, are you willing to join the pirate crew of this princess?!"

Ori smiled as he replied without hesitation.

"That's impossible!"

She frowned when she heard his rejection before he continued.

"How can the future king of the pirates join the crew of another?!"

"King… Of the Pirates?!"

As she repeated his words she seemed to be in a state of shock whilst she stared at him. She didn't say anything, just stared at him focusing on his eyes as if looking for something.

Seeming to not find what she was looking for she couldn't help but release a regretful sigh as she said.

"Looks like you really can't join my crew. As the future queen of the pirates, anyone who's aiming for my throne is my enemy."

Ori smiled as he said.

"If you marry me you can still be the queen of the pirates!"

When she heard that, her eyebrow twitched in anger as she punched him with a blackened fist.

As he saw the fist coming, Ori let out a little smile.

"Ooh so she can already use haki…"

Ori didn't seem to take any defensive measures against the incoming black fist that was whistling through the air as it shot towards him.

"Who wants to marry you you bastard?!"

As the fist connected with Ori in the chest he was sent flying through the wall of the bar they were in, landing on the road outside.
