"She didn't say," Qin Chu replied coldly.
"The deceased, Miss Song, had only seen you on the night of her death. We have reasons to believe that you're the murderer."
"I agree that the evidence presents itself perfectly, but unfortunately, I'm not a murderer. I will not be pleading guilty," Qin Chu answered calmly, with no sign of anxiousness or impatience.
Huo Mian watched from the crowd, this was the Qin Chu that she loved dearly. She loved seeing his nonchalant attitude even when the world was about to come to an end.
"Your Honor, I've finished my list of questions," the opposing lawyer said.
"Defendant, do you have anything else to add to help your case? Perhaps you should revisit your memory a little to ensure you haven't left out any important leads?" the Judge looked at Qin Chu and asked.
Huo Mian became a little anxious, the palm of her hand was beginning to sweat.
