Chapter 1Ruined

A slight force was placed on a doorknob and slowly the door was pushed open. The lady who opened the door walked slowly into the room.

She had doubts about what her friend told her but as she proceeded into the room, she could already hear sounds and from there, her heart began to race at what she was going to see.

Walking deeply into the room, her eyes eventually settled on the scene happening on the bed. There, was her sister and her soon-to-be husband.

It was her wedding day and her groom was here making out with her sister!

This was heavier for Alix to contain. She watched in awe for a while at their unawareness of her presence and how they continued their deed.

Tears began to flow down her face as she recalled moments with her fiance and her sister. And this was how they paid her?

With a heavy chest and a blank mind, she eventually pushed her eyes away from them and took a deep breath.

Alix was still in her wedding dress. It was her wedding day and she found out about the hotel because of her friend.

The more she thought about it, the more her heart hurt, causing her to feel numb all over but the woman braced herself and widened her eyes to dry her tears.

By now, she was sure that her makeup was ruined but she cared less.

At first, she aimed to attack them and scream out her feelings but she felt her cell phone the moment she wanted to vent by throwing something at them.

The idea of taking of video of them suddenly came to her mind.

The noises and the moans irritated her and weakened something in her midsection but she gathered herself and lifted her phone to take videos of them.

"It must be fun, right?" She let out with her phone still recording their actions and the moment her voice was heard, her fiance turned to her first before her sister who was underneath her man.

The shock was the expression written on their faces and seeing them that way crushed Alix more. "You must be enjoying this, right?" She asked again.

Now, she showed them her weakness by crying in front of them.

The person to say something first was the man she was supposed to marry and all he let out was excuses, saying he would explain.

"I don't want to hear a thing from you. I saw everything!"

Alix's face had swollen and had turned pink, the rims of her eyes were red and the moment she sensed that her soon-to-be husband was going to approach her she immediately ran in the direction of the door only to see the key in the keyhole.

Alix wasn't in her right state of mind, she just grabbed the key, ignored their voices, and ran out of the room only to lock both of them in.

Now, it was a bit silent as she could still hear their rages for her to listen to them and open the door but Alix only burst into tears as her chest was more than heavy.

Alix kept recalling the scene of her fiancee in bed with her sister and suddenly her knee went weak, causing her to fall to the ground and wail.

The lady coated her face with her palms and cried until her head began to throb and hurt.

She could still hear their pleas and noises but they only grew exasperation in her so the woman stood up. Her knees seemed to have received a little bit of strength after she cried.

Alix just walked slowly and absentmindedly to the elevator and before she knew it, she was at the wedding reception.

She had not forgotten the scene she witnessed at the hotel but the moment she reached the reception she began to say things to herself. If he didn't cheat on me with my sister, we'd have been married by now.

It was evening already and suddenly she saw the guests raging as they left the hall.

"There's no wedding," she mumbled to herself and burst into tears again. It was more painful than an injury. She was broken!

After a moment, she sensed silence which was because the guests had scattered and had found their way home.

That was when Alix sensed tiredness and approached the hall to see her parents and her finance's parents.

The moment they noticed her presence, they stopped calling.

They had because ringing her and her fiance but no answer.

However, when they saw the misery on Alix's face, they approached her because she had informed them that she had somewhere to go. Where did she go to come back this way?

They didn't need to question her. Alix burst into tears again when they surrounded her.

Questions were thrown at her but she answered none so they had to take her to her room.

Meanwhile, there was a man who didn't follow the guests, he was at the bar which was located by a corner. He could see the bride crying but couldn't hear the reason. He could tell it was the bride because of the wedding dress she had on.

Not long after they took the bride away, he saw the old couples rush out with worried and hasty faces. Wonder what was going on.

Shrugging, the man stood up to use the bathroom.

Alix had been questioned multiple times, causing her to eventually disclose to her parents what happened and why she looked miserable.

They were also shocked and disappointed that they left her to go to the hotel but her mother came back to her only for Alix to refuse her gesture, she gave the key to the room to them and the number of the room.

Being alone in the room made her more depressed as only the images of her sister and her man in bed flashed in her mind.

Alix found her way out of the room still in her heavy wedding dress.

Trying to lift her gown when she walked out of the room, she bumped into someone and apologized before going to the bar.

There, she found a stool by the counter and settled down before telling the bartender what she wanted.

If the bartender wasn't there, she'd have taken any alcohol she saw and drink until she had had enough.

The bartender attended to her without asking any questions.

With those images still in her mind, she filled a glass and gulped it only to grimace her face and swallow.

Lifting her eyelids, she saw the man she bumped into earlier and suddenly a thought settled in her mind.
