Chapter 16

"I see so that's what happened.....", God Soma muttered in a small voice as he held his chin.

Sitting opposite to him, William took a sip from his cup before putting it down.

After crying for some time, God Soma calmed down and started asking him various questions.

Unfortunately William wasn't able to tell him the entire truth.

So he told him a short version, after the fight with Ottar he decided to hide and recover from his injures and just recently managed to make a full recovery.

There were many plot holes in his story and God Soma knew it as well.

After all it is useless to lie in front of a God.

But even after knowing it, God Soma didn't question him and just accept his answers

"As long as you're back.......", A smile appeared on God Soma's face as he said in a relieved voice.

William stared at him as a variety of thoughts went through his mind.

It's not like he couldn't tell God Soma the truth.

It's just that, even he doesn't know the entirety of the situation.

After all he definitely died on that day.

But then being transported to another world, seeing a sub personality split from himself, inheriting some of his skills giving birth to Grant.

The entire situation was chaotic.

William closed his eyelids.

But there was one thing which kept bothering him even until now.

Perhaps he, just like Grant was also a sub personality?

William stopped his trail of thoughts and once again looked at God Soma.

"Where are the other members?"

"Ah yes I almost forgot......"

Raising the corners of his mouth, God Soma stared straight at him.

"Floor 49th"

William's movement stopped, he couldn't help but give God Soma another look as if asking if he's heard correctly.

Seeing his reaction, God Soma felt an extreme sense of pride.

"Monster Rex Balor, they should be coming back with it's magic crystal soon."

Silence descended upon the room.

After some time William moved his hand and picked up his tea cup, bringing it near his mouth for another sip.

Even he didn't notice.

That the corners of his mouth were raised almost unconsciously.

"I'll go and take a look."

Putting down his cup, William quickly stood up and went towards the door, not waiting for God Soma's reply.

God Soma didn't stop him, he just smiled seeing William's hurried actions.

But then God Soma tilted his head seeing William stop in front of the door.

Turning his head half way, William asked in a slow voice.

"What happened to Freya familia?"

William's indifferent eyes stared straight at God Soma as if trying to look through him.

"Freya familia......"

Without a change in his expression, God Soma continued.

"Dead."

Although his tone was calm, God Soma was no longer laughing.

"Every single one of them."

An eerie feeling was coming out of God Soma's entire being.

William simply nodded before exiting the room.
