Review Detail of slowestcook in Sanguis et Os

Masterful first five chapters, and if the author can keep this up, I’m sticking around! It’s hard to find such quality writing on WN. This reads easily and has a natural flow. The characters’ thoughts become my thoughts, and I can easily feel immersed in the story. There is virtually no dialogue in the first few chapters, and usually that’s my favorite feature in a story, but this is every bit as engaging for me. And when it does appear, combined with the insightful inner dialogue, it’s clever and really helps establish the characters. I appreciate the lack of info dump! It’s so easy to rush and explain everything about a fantasy world in the beginning. But so far, details about the world are being worked in gradually. Much easier to digest and become familiar with without feeling lost or overwhelmed. Honestly, I have no idea where the plot is going from here. The tags feel accurate. I get the adventure/revenge vibe, a variety of races and roles and abilities to be explored… …But Author has earned enough trust in his abilities that I can recommend keeping an eye in this story. It will either be a huge success, or a tragically hidden gem. Either way, I think it’s worth reading. Good luck!
