While there was a time or two during the reading of this book where I wanted to put the book down and never come back to it, the author did pull it through in the end. So if you get mad at the author, persevere and read through till the end. This is a good epic fantasy story, that is a roller coaster ride from time to time. If you like heroic adventures, this is a story for you.

I don't want to leave a spoiler and don't see a way to hide/reveal, so will try with a lot of spaces. It's more of a growth thing for that type of magic to offset dangers they WILL face as they progress in skill.
