maybe its just preference but this novel basically ticked every red flag for me.. the author actually implements chinese cultivation nonsense into the novel; he nicknames his pokemon; mc joins a family/clan (a huge financial decision with basically no thought or preparation); every pokemon of his gets lamer and lamer with the exception of charizard (basically bug and rat pokemon). and every second sentence in the novel is cringe af

not easy to keep track of all the names, imagine naming a Pokémon Cindy, it's racial treated is Pikachu how are we supposed to imagine that plus 100 more names?

they are difficult to remember, which is which is a Pikachu of a Chameleon how are we readers have to memorize 10 diffrerent names of pokemon it's not fun but a chore an unlikable chore where by saying Pikachu or Charizard would have been better instead of Zain I choose you should we keep going to old chapter just to remember Zain nah man even Ash doesn't name his pokemon who are you to do it????

Charizard is done dirty. I like the book so I’d rate it better myself but it does focus too much on the bugs and let’s his much better Pokémon like nido, char, etc get far less time in the spotlight even though it constantly states they have the most potential yet they aren’t ranked up like the rest and they were there longer like how is a charizard weaker than any of the main 6 he uses. Makes me salty
