Don't think the original was Japanese, probably Chinese. Anyway, a lot of the prologue is missing. Still the main story seems the same.

Banana did some posts of this on a few other sites. However, those haven't even reached the part with reintroduction of the sword and the problems that caused - plus they're written in English. 🤔 It's confusing when the original works seem to disappear. Kinda wonder if the name's been changed. If it was originally on the "Q" site, that would explain where it and the manga version went. Lot of great works went "poof!" there and are slowly reappearing here and there in small parts. Particularly recall the scene with the sword crashing down and blowing her hair sideways in the beginning.

Cool. Sooo.... What happened to the illustrated version? That's what's bugging me the most, I guess. Perhaps I've mixed it up with one that's nearly identical to yours. It's possible. Still, is the cover art from your work? If so, there is or was a manga version at one point with that character... Just wondering. It's a great story.
