Manga &Anime versions are better,i switched to light novel after anime so to me whole personality of Kiyotaka is altered.(Like he has multiple personality disorder).In novel is can be funny and amusing but in anime &manga who has mysterious &serious vibe. On wikipedia its shown that 10 volumes are out but here only 1 is out,WTH!?

of course since they can't include all the thoughts and feelings of the characters the same way they can in a book. It's the same as with any movie adaptation

As far as I know, bcz anime changes characters and story. People were angry bcz of that and they boycotted it. That's why it was a flop and there is no season 2

Personally the reason why this is the way it seems to you is because in the anime we don’t see much of Ayanokouji’s thoughts. In the earlier volumes of the novel, Ayanakouji is trying to be a normal high school student or what he thinks one is. This is because he had only been out of the white room for 8 months.
