But from my perspective, Adam’s suffering was already shown early on, starting in chapter one with how Angeline treated him, and later more clearly around chapter twenty through Gwenneth, and Delilah’s neglect. Chapter twenty in particular received strong reactions, with some readers even dropping the story, so I felt the situation was already perceived as quite severe. Because of that, I was worried that showing his suffering in even more detail, particularly more abuse from his family, might become excessive and hurt or overwhelm the readers.

That’s actually a spoiler, but level 100 isn’t the limit. There are higher tiers beyond it.
