Torrhen values his father's honor. He knows that he does not hold the same level of honor as his father. Since he was a child, he had looked up to Ned as a role model, something to aspire after. So when he gives an oath on his father's honor. Something that he values. That means that he is willing to do anything to uphold his father's honor. Torrhen is what barely an adult. Threats from him could have been laughed off as that of a tantrum. But when he brings his father's honor in question, it means he is being serious. That and his father being close to the King, might change the King's decision. I don't know if it might have sounded stupid or cringe reading from another set of eyes. Is it?
Yeah. But killing Lady and Winter for an incident involving Nymeria, is not cool. The death of innocent lady in the books left a bad taste in me.
Lol sorry. I can't for the life of me find suitable, decent names for chapters or my own characters. I just wrote whatever came to mind.
Its still on. I forgot about that. Went through a tumultuous time. Going to change it asap. New chapter coming by Friday.
What are you talking about dude? Ned has made mistakes but that doesn't mean he's stupid. Ned led his house through the Rebellion and ruled for almost more than fifteen years. His personal values might have led to his arrest and execution but he wouldn't be the Ned we know if he did things in a different manner.
I am sorry for that. I don't want to make excuses but I am stressed a lot lately about my future. I don't know what will happen in the coming days.
He might not mean making knights literally but instilling the value of Knighthood to his trainees.
A turned cloak is the correct ASOIAF term I believe. In the real world it is Turned coat.
Lady is still alive. Jory and Wyl are alive. Jon doesn't join the nightswatch. Some of the plot arcs of Book 1 remain the same because if I change them as I wish the future plots will makes no sense.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . We are aware of what happens if Ned stays in Kingslanding. But Ned doesn't know that. He does not know the extent of conflict that would erupt after his death. A man as honorable as Ned would never abandon his duty as Hand. Of course his decision was bad and leads to wars that his children would have to fight but in my story the Starks bear less brunt than in canon, because of Torrhen's presence. But there are some things that wouldn't make sense in the story if I change it drastically so there will be some similarities with canon.
