Symbolism dictates it would only make sense for Sunny to be enslaved to Nephis through his aspect. After all, light and fire are almost always accompanied by shadow, and a shadow cannot exist without a light source.
Not much more to say here that others haven’t said. Disclaimer, I’m only 60 chapters in as of this review. This web novel is both familiar and unique, with an actually interesting protagonist and supporting characters that aren’t painfully annoying (for once). By that I mean the supporting characters are really fleshed out and interesting in their own right. I only have one complaint, and it’s that the plot has been relatively “safe” so far. Aside from the interesting situations the MC finds himself in, there’s no element to the story that seems like it could turn everything on its head with a single revelation. That said, maybe it’s just my biases obscuring my perspective? After reading the Lightbringer series, I tend to enjoy my heroes’ journeys to be accompanied by a ticking time bomb with a hidden fuse. Don’t get me wrong, the story is plenty exciting, but I guess what I mean is I’m not being spoiled… yet ❤️ All that said, this is hands down the only series keeping me on this platform right now. Thank you, Guiltythree for being patient and careful enough to write a series like this. I’m sure I have a lot of hours of reading to look forward too.
I find it hard to fully express how grateful I am to see the proper form of the word “too” being used after reading some of the other web novels. Thank you, dearest author, for your thorough understanding of basic grammar. You are currently the only reason I still use WebNovel.
But at what cost? o.O hopefully for free, but that’s boring and this writer is pretty creative.
This is so great as a description for something like this. Typically, the description for these things is super vague and hard to imagine. Ty for making it clear from the beginning.
I thought it was bc Sunny thought to prepare for the hike by reducing his carry weight as much as possible. We even got a small scene where he deliberated carefully before abandoning a sword, a highly valuable resource given the situation he is in. This seemed like it was meant to highlight how seriously he thought about this. And then he looks over at Shifty stuffing his pockets with gold and valuables, weighing himself down before the climb of their lives. Sunny could have at least tried to tell him that they should carry as little as possible, but he just kept his mouth shut instead. The excessive strain weakened Shifty, who overexerted himself in the name of greed. In a way, Sunny could have at least tried to prevent it. Instead, he said nothing, and someone died.
Shifty is so easy to hate, I love it.
And so he became dungeon’s greatest trap ;o
Why, god? Please no
It sounds…. Ominous.
Would you still see anything then? Theoretically, you only see something when light bounces of it, so at best there would just be like a dull glow on everything. Maybe I haven’t thought it all the way through yet.
Could be much worse. Some authors in this platform forget pronouns, skin color, height, race, etc. Vague clothing descriptions are the least of my worries on this app.
Idk if I can keep reading 🤮
Oh yeah, he can read their minds.
Underpriced af, this is like a superpower.
If it’s so cheap, why don’t I have it? >.<
