I don't like the way this is going. I have a feeling Oliver will resort to deceit and scheming, not my favorite arc.

The half-sister gave bad, selfish advice. She should have simply comforted Oliver. Thorne has never really wanted him, and he is happy. Oliver has seen this. Now, he has an idea to worm his way into a happy marriage so he can be with the man he wants. smh

I wouldn't expect any less🤭 I waiting for Amber 😬 to come out of the shadows at some point. She has the recording of the trio talking about the bet. That hasn't come into play yet.

I started this book internally screaming at the 3 idiots, but they have come a long way. I'm a little disappointed by Dylan's behavior. However, it really shows their different personalities. I wouldn't have expected Max to be so mature and tuned-in to how a woman feels and his ability to read a room. I mean, he's going to support his friend in his love quest. (kicking my feet up and down). Ik some angst will come soon, but I'm enjoying the journey.

Thanks for an interesting story

As a first book, it was entertaining. I enjoy mafia stories, and the action was fast-paced. It's a short story. Maybe it was too fast-paced because there were parts that could have been fleshed out a little more. For example, towards the end, the main character's friend should have been kidnapped. But, I'm not sure what happened with that. Is the friend still alive? Also, I didn't understand how the title connected with the story. However, I read for entertainment, so that's not a big issue for me. I'm looking forward to the next book because the author creates interesting characters.
