Yup exactly, he's a completely understandable and complex character, but Aoki just finds him annoying.

I know it might seem like a huge nerf, but keep in mind that Lee was able to be a formidable fighter in the early seasons and Aoki's body is further enhanced on top of that. Plus, the Jutsu "curse" is there for a reason which will be explored in due time :)

MC is thrust into a world with little to no control over what happens to him, if you antagonise the most powerful person in the village for no reason, you can't expect it to end well. Personally imo, endearing yourself to the Kage is a much better option, even if it means calling him grandpa which in actuality, means very little.

Well the MC is an emotionally stunted 17-year-old with no social experience, his personality won't go through major shifts for no reason, and sufficient change is needed for the personality to develop into one which can survive the ninja world. As of this point, he's only been living in this world for 4 years with no troubles, his character is only set to change once problems come his way.
