Story is ordinary fantasy harlequin with overused innocent weak to mary sue FL fixes ignorant macho ML trope. Damon started as misogynistic cheating w*manizer. He stopped sleeping around but still is lousy mate who hurts and fails to protect Talia many times. He doesn't take responsibility for his mistakes because he thinks his loathsome behavior's no big deal and makes lame excuses. FL gets hurt again and again by Damon's idi*cy, uselessness and abysmal behavior but still quickly forgives him like doormat. The trope of FL who already went through a lot easily forgiving unworthy selfish ML that causes her even more pain is awful and unfortunately very common on this site. Talia had nice development going from poor abused girl to strong confident woman but author went overboard with making her too powerful and everyone s*mping for her. It started as average fantasy romance for mindless entertainment but turned out to be drawn-out, poor story with toxic relationships, annoying characters and cardboard villains.

I started reading manga and I found out from comments that it's adapted from novel. Manga has beautiful art and novel has details that are difficult to include.

I gotta say that it's one of the better "actress having ONS with CEO" comics. The biggest difference is that main leads know each other from school. There is usual white lotus and "you don't deserve to marry into our family" grandpa but it's not dragged. White lotus is dealt quickly and grandpa lets FL to prove herself. She works hard to achieve status on her own to match with ML. Definitely would recommend this comic.

I love Mo Ting and Tang Ning. They have beautiful, healthy relationship. Even though they didn't know each other before tying the knot they immediately go into this marriage with resolve to make it work. They love, respect and trust each other. I also appreciate that even though Mo Ting is black-bellied president he never acts like gangster and use legal means to deal with those who hurt him and Tang Ning. FL is intelligent and strong woman who mostly deals with her enemies on her own. ML respects and trust FL to resolve her own issues but also is always ready to help her when she has problems. Face-slapping gets a bit repetitive after some time but also it's logical how main pair deals with their enemies. Later there is surprising plot involving ML's parents.
