Not exactly the route this story is taking is divided into body and dao. Body is like vajra gold body and the like the dao is more like chanting or in this particular case 'mantra. I imagine staff techniques would be hybrid of both. But body cultivation is sort of like walking meditation kinda of like super offensive taichi. They train their body till their minds are clear and empty like smooth mirror like the surface of a lake sort of called zen modern terms I guess but the concept is to seek freedom in your thoughts through body cultivation.
