I love the book and it leaves me wanting to know what happens, the slow burn is nice at first and the character development is amazing. Unfortunately in recent chapters it just seems to be dragging, whole chapters are inner monologue or brief exchanges with no actual advancement. I love how raw it is, but I would like to see some advancement in the actual storyline instead of 10 chapters to move ever so slightly forward into the story. Still absolutely amazing how much feeling the author poured into this and it’s a great read.

I really, really want to love this story and for the most part I honestly do. The story is well written, the world and background is awesomely developed and the plot so far is interesting with a few minor draw backs, the characters are mostly well written, however... The FL is literally written like she's a moron, she's got an awesome background and character building.. but every choice she makes screams "dumb". X, y, z important fact had been revealed! FL, let me tell no one for no real logical reason. I get it.. attempted plot building but making her appear soooo weak minded, hurts to read after awhile. Then gripe 2 is it's turning into the typical, ML1 is a self serving, arrogant asshole who thinks everything is owed to him on a platter, treats FL like trash, she gets a better option of ML2 and then she ends up in ML1's arms in all its Stockholm syndrome glory. It'd be nice to see a strong FL stand by her choice for once and not accept she was treated like crap initially like it was a matter of course, especially with it not being solely a "fated bond wins" situation. I guess, it isn't the typical enemy to lovers kind of trope though completely, which is why I so wish to see her end up with the better ML. I intend to keep reading because like I said there's so much else that's good about the story, I just hope to see more character growth and pray that it doesn't stay the course of the stereotypical abandoned second male lead. Fingers crossed! Sorry author, it's a good story though!

I started reading this book and absolutely fell in love with it. Although frustrated by the FL a little, I loved the way the author built the characters and the world. I'm just sad it hasn't been updated in months and leaves a complete cliff hanger, I hope the author finishes it. ♥️

I just recently started reading books by this author but every book so far has had me enthralled, this one being no exception!

Mauve is a little frustrating as a character but you end up getting drawn in to the whole story, even if the FL makes your want to rip your hair out. 😂 Story is a great find and do recommend reading. ♥️
