By the time Naruto leaves his training it will be time for him to leave, before he comes back three years later for shippuden, to which he will no longer be in tutorial. When he leaves, time will continue as is, until his three years are up and it’s time to go back. And his mission to survive is just for him not to die, as being in a dangerous world as Naruto it’s very much possible to die. After tutorial he will get his gift pack (since in games you always get gift packs after tutorials). I hope this somewhat explains it and if it doesn’t, its probably caise Injust woke up and cannot think straight.
