This seemed the most likely idea, but we should remember that just because he is necessary, maybe essential, does not mean he does not mean more to her.
He was shot, beaten and blown up along with being dumped out into the ocean he probs need a break. Besides, even Superman gets beaten by normals, lets not even mention the time Batman shot darkseid with a gun and that did him in.
Lol, yep
Thanks, this comment made me laugh.
Lol right? Yet it is something that is seen so often and like it or not, James is still young and thus a bit of an idiot.
So the plot thickens with another player...
Harry is considered the key. Either it relates to using his Peverell crest or perhaps it connects back to the battle between Merlin and Morgan with a different being defeating the champions of light/dark magic. I imagine that Lily generally needs him for something. But it is also possible she has general affection for him. It might not have been in her plans to love her child (most likely not part of the plan) but it would be a interesting challenge for the two.
When the world learns that Horizon and the Prez are phone buddies.
Yes and no. Its true that if you go off the stories involving the Burning Martian lore it was a psychological deterrent created by the Guardians if I am not mistaken. But many of the original stories had it as a physical, psychological, or a combination of the two. I base most of the lore of this story on the DC animated series and films which for the most part show it primarily as a physical weakness with the fear of the weakness being pronounced. Great question since you are partially right.

One of the points raised by Lily and being stuck was that she was not able to be with her son. But we also know she was not super fond of James and perhaps was using him just for the bloodline. It is difficult to tell what kind of relation the two could have. I could see Lily wanting to use Harry for her own ends. But perhaps there is still a little maternity instinct there? It is hard to tell, the author has done a good job at making Lily and unknown. Random side thought, if Grindelwald dies. Will the dark choose a new champion in Voldemort or Neville? If Dumbledore dies, will the Light choose Neville or Lily? I worry that one way or another, the choosing of champions will doom Harry. And like with Morgana and Merlin, he will have to act like Mordred and put both down.
I think the author has given us a hint of what Harry could be in the story. The story of Merlin and Morgana ended with both their deaths but now we learned Mordred lived. Perhaps history is repeating itself with Harry being an essential peace of ending this war between light and dark. Something to keep in mind is that both Grindelwald and Dumbledore are bad mouthing Voldemort but I think the old boy might have a few tricks.
