Ansel admitting he lost control here, is amazing as writing, signifying the start of his descent into the madness of a Hydral as said in the next chapter, and him speaking of the things he would have normally done, is somewhat opening up to her, and a major indulgence showing his "care" for her whilst humiliating her completely, as if the author was saying that he can no longer keep his emotions under control, this shows how amazing of a character he is, while what you would describe his care as sick and twisted, he only allows himself to witness her weakest moments, making it genuin (note, I am someone who absolutely loves overanalyzing, and I want to write comments that praise what the author rather than just posting reaction images :D
