Anyway, spoilers: the reason hundreds of readers enjoyed the story and unlocked till the latest chapter is cz Victor had a change of personality over time, and distanced himself from his sacrosanct principles. People like Carol and others paid heavily for their decisions. The scale was balanced and some people enjoyed reading that. If you need to read the same kind of MC over and over, you indeed have the liberty to do so. Move on kindly. Hope you find what you're looking for though. Best of luck.

I don't really mind. This book is a financial success across.platforms. Some readers are just acquainted to the obnoxious, self-centred, harem-loving lewd MC that is rampant in WN. Which is fine. A family-loving, self-sacrificing MC is not acceptable to them. Each to their own. Anyway, if Victor Damone is not to your liking, you can search and read my new novel THE GILDED MAN WITH A THOUSAND LIVES. That MC may be more your cup of tea.

There are real people in the real world like Carol, who are easily manipulated. As far as Victor is considered, he has inflexible principles. With great power also comes great responsibility. He never uses his abilities for his own profit, but only to help others.

On other apps, the chapters have been split at times, resulting in extra chapters. But it's the exact same story.
