Soooooo, this is the first time I have read a novel like this and I have to say that I am amazed by the work. The characters fit in with a well fleshed out world background but I would suggest you to update more frequently.

well, one of the reasons for this is that although she tortures him... She's the only person who takes Caedes for a normal person while helping him in a low-key manner as there are many instances where the girl provides him help. While Caedes couldn't say that he missed her, being the only person with him for the past while made him feel the loss of traveling alone.

Well let me tell you that if you think so, then you are totally wrong. You’ll only understand once you read the later chapters, as a lot of things will change and let me tell this once again, these tentacles will have a totally different purpose that no one can ever think of. Read to find out what happens though the story’s a long one so you’ll have to wait. :)

Also the kids try to kill the boy for a particular reason which you'll know later.

And why would his father try to send assassins and stuff when the boy can't even tame a beast, duh— According to them, the boy can never have possible growth or return back.

Well, Although there's a twist and all in the later chapters. If you think this book is not your cup of tea, then I am sorry ... Also you'll have to read atleast around chap 24 to understand everything, Cause this will be a slow paced story. Meanwhile I'll also check what you found boring and try to improve it. :))

I can't even say this with certainty but romance should kick off by the end of my first volume or more specifically just start a tiny bit at the first volume. So you can expect it to start properly in my second volume which starts around 150+ chapters approx.
