something going on from school
And the book is finally complete… sigh. I can’t help but feel a little emotional—it’s been such a long journey, especially since I started back with Penny’s story. It honestly feels like so much has happened along the way. Starting with Penny’s book, it already felt like a complete story on its own, with a near-perfect ending for both the main and side characters—except for a few, like Atlas and Slater. So seeing their stories explored further here was incredibly satisfying. And honestly, I never would have guessed that everything traced back to that person across all those lives… that reveal was completely unexpected. The beginning of this book felt a bit familiar, but in hindsight, it was clearly necessary to build up Lola’s storyline—and it paid off. Watching Lola grow from someone naive and frustrating into a smart, capable individual was such a rewarding journey. And the moment when the Order accepted her as Madam Zorken! Absolutely amazing. Scarlet’s character development was another highlight—so well done. Though I do feel a bit bad for Slater… he didn’t get the happy ending he deserved. I really hope there’s another book focused on him I’d gladly read even if there are just 100 chapters! I also wish we got more about the quadruplets and I’d love to see more stories of them. Even the side stories for this book felt too few and too short… I’m not ready to let this world go yet. Still, thank you for such an amazing book. The journey was unexpected, but truly one of the best. (And I guess it’s time for me to start reading White Lotus next!)
