'Are they gonna become zombies or something like that? But wait, zombies already exist here... I forgot about them since they are more like monsters than undead humans to me... Then, crimson and corruption Zombies?

hang on a tick; isn't the sand elemental exclusive to calamity? shouldn't that clue him in to the worlds nature? AND reveal that the MoonLord ISN'T his biggest problem anymore....
Aspen, on the other hand, was just thinking rapidly in a way to stop the Sand Elemental. After all, although not really a boss, but more like a mini-boss, she was still part of the hardmode, which pretty much made her almost invulnerable against any weapon made from normal materials, even the Platinum wasn't an exception. Only explosives and other different types of offensive methods would be able to hurt this monster somehow, but still, he doubted that they could have enough of them to defeat the powerful Sand Elemental.

if memory serves me right, this world IS based on calamity, explaining the difficulty, but we simply haven't seen any signs of it's influence beyond that until now...

He had never seen this type of enemy, and such an interesting trait as producing and controlling electricity using your own body was something that was bound to attract his attention one or either way.
