Depends on which door, Naruto is going through but many of the doors like Havel's door and the lower undead burg door are protected by magic hence why he needs their special keys to open them.

The romance side hasn't been decided as of yet. The story's focus will be on the characters and their development. When they are older, I'll think about it, but for now, harem or not, it's undecided. Naruto will have various different plotlines with female characters; whether they become love interests or not is for the future because the characters are 12 years old at this point in the story. As for the souls affecting chakra, yes, Naruto's killer intent is a prime example of that. Unlike normal Shinobi, Naruto can create actual genjutsu with the amount of souls he has absorbed. As for any other effects, there will be some, but for now, I don't want to spoil you.

Wow, that’s certainly… a take. Let me break this down for you, though, because there’s a lot to unpack here—and frankly, some of it is a bit off the mark. First off, thanks for your critique. Seriously, I do appreciate it, and I can tell this comes from a place of passion. But I’ve got to address a few things. Let’s start with your first point about Naruto’s irritation with relying on others who ‘never cared before.’ Look, I get why that rubs you the wrong way, but you’re missing some key context. Naruto wasn’t friends with Sasuke or Sakura at the start—hell, most of the village was actively avoiding or undermining him. But why does that automatically make everyone irredeemable or unworthy of growth? Sasuke had his clan’s massacre hanging over him, Sakura had her own personal immaturities to deal with, and Kakashi was drowning in his own PTSD. They’re not perfect, but they’re trying in their own ways. Expecting them to drop everything to cater to Naruto, especially when they had their own struggles, feels… unrealistic, don’t you think? And about Kakashi specifically: yeah, he wasn’t the best teacher at first. I won’t argue that. But in THIS story, he’s actually trying. He’s training Naruto, he’s giving him tools like the Shadow Clone secret, and he’s even going out of his way to bring in others like Tenten to help. The guy’s making an effort, even with the weight of his own trauma. That’s called progress, and it’s pretty unfair to dismiss it entirely. Now let’s talk about your frustration with the village’s ‘theories and shadow games.’ I mean, come on, you’re dealing with a world of paranoid ninjas who literally specialize in deception, subterfuge, and espionage. Do you really expect them to just shrug when a kid suddenly starts wearing mysterious armor, wielding unique powers, and breaking established rules of their world? Their suspicion isn’t just plausible—it’s inevitable. And it adds tension. Without it, there’s no conflict, no stakes, and frankly, no story worth telling. ‘Everyone trusts Naruto immediately’ might sound nice in theory, but it’s boring in practice. On Tenten: Yeah, her life wasn’t as hard as Naruto’s. But does that mean she’s not allowed to feel hurt, to quit, or to make choices based on her own feelings? Just because Naruto’s had it worse doesn’t invalidate her experiences or emotions. It’s not about ‘who had it worse’; it’s about how these characters interact, grow, and resolve conflict. Tenten leaving creates tension and gives Naruto a moment to reflect—not just on his actions, but on how others perceive him. That’s what creates depth. And as for your final point, saying ‘Dark Souls Naruto is just a more skilled canon Naruto’? That’s… wild. Canon Naruto is fueled by his dream of being Hokage, of earning everyone’s respect. Dark souls Naruto? He doesn’t care about that. His priorities, motivations, and worldview are completely different because of the experiences he’s had. You say he’s just skilled, but what about the emotional toll of being thrown into Dark Souls? What about the way it’s reshaped how he views the people around him? He’s growing. And we’re not done yet! Saying he’s just ‘canon Naruto but skilled’ completely misses the point.” So yeah, while I get where you’re coming from, I think you’ve glossed over a lot of nuance. And hey, thanks for reading this far. I hope you stick around, because the journey’s only just getting started.

I didn’t say you have to like my work. What I’m asking is what exactly about their characters you find so irritating. I’m opening up a conversation here, not declaring that you need to enjoy my story. I’ve already explained how the majority of readers appreciate the way Naruto and everyone else are written, which is why I’m genuinely interested in your perspective. If you’re willing to share, great—let’s talk about it. But if you don’t want to, that’s fine too. I drop stories that irritate me all the time, so when I said you can read something else, that’s all I meant. It’s an invitation, not a dismissal. And just to be clear: my intent here is to understand, not to argue. If this story isn’t for you, that’s okay. But if you want to explain what’s bothering you, I’m all ears.

Well, okay then. Tell me, what EXACTLY do you think I should do with Naruto and everyone's characters? From my point of view as a writer—and the majority of the readers—it’s going great. Naruto is growing as a person, doing his own thing. Sakura is growing to be someone competent and contributing to the team. Sasuke is growing to be more open to being a team player. Everyone is growing due to Naruto's change, and this change will continue as the world of Dark Souls will change Naruto more and more. And then the changed Naruto will influence everything else—politically, individually, and more. The majority of the readers across all platforms are loving this change, but I am open to any suggestions and ideas. So feel free to let me know what you think I should’ve done with their characters that will make them less irritating. If you don’t want to, there are hundreds of other great fanfics that might give you a better experience, so try that if this story doesn’t work out for you.
