I am very confused over how she died twice?! Once from being sick and again from the sorrow of what became of their family.

oh I love Dad! He is right that she is justified in her lack of action, even though others will see her as ruthless. What mother would willingly give blood to save the life of the person whose words murdered her child and actions & misdeeds ruined her life?!

Definitely need to edit this since we all know that a gun is very unlikely to be fired on a plane. It wouldn't cause an issue every time but odds are not good so it should be replaced with a knife, box cutter or other weapon.

This was an absolutely beautiful story! Not many on this app can keep my attention from beginning to end and even fewer that are actually completed! A big Pet Peeve of mine is incomplete stories. This was heartwarming, exciting, engaging, climactic, etc! It had all the 'feels' you want in an excellent read! Each character brought forth some emotion. I could feel their pain, their disdain, their joys, sorrows, hopes. etc. Truly worth the time spent and I especially love that the author added short chapters to recap everyone's lives so there was nothing left to ponder on any of the main characters!

Cassel as a name means/meant "owns many castles/fortresses" or it was given as a last name for people who lived near or were servants of the castle. I am thinking for this Cassel, you chose the first meaning "castle/forts" as that version symbolized strength and protection. That would be the best name for a leader of a group of survivors in my opinion. Very fitting! Total loving this story so far & your writing is captivating! Some stories I skip chapters here & there but can't with this one. Excellent storytelling!
