that's quite fast to be fair considering if he missed out on running drills he'd technically be a beginner but because he's in a pretty athletic sport he probably does a fair bit of general excercise without thinking about it, so 20minutes per 1.5miles is probably about right. when I was a beginner I started at 25 minutes for 1.5mile. but I did no excercise for 2 and a 1/2 years due to injury. within 3 weeks I got it down to 22min. I was mostly focusing on form and being able to actually run without slowing to a jog or stopping. so considering he can run without stopping on his first proper run, and do it in 40 minutes he's doing great, not only that but he like did the first mile and a half in under 20 minutes and ran out of steam for the other half. overall the author is correct

I 100% agree that he should not have cheated on her and he should have just ended the relationship he wasnt happy in, but it takes two to make a couple. to have a relationship both parties must put effort into it and it is stupid to say she had no fault in the loss of the relationship, and I repeat, the break down of the relationship she hold some fault in but she has no fault in his actions of cheating she didnt cause it or force him into it.
