Is the author clueless about children or is it that the author wants the mc to be clueless? Just because a child might have the strength to lift something doesn't mean that they could apply the force properly and actually do it. There's some kind of disconnect from realistic expectations of a child that shouldn't be able to properly talk and lift weights yet, even if you assume that this child prodigy could lift that kind of weight.
