Two of the corners would be close to the door. It might let in airflow. If he likes to have his feet colder than his upper body, then his feet close to the door. If he likes a warm breeze on his face then the opposite. Some people have their beds next to a wall and sometimes sleep their back against the wall (this is also a preference of which side) So there is merit to choosing the most appealing corner :)
