A series of books is a good idea, but you'll still need a name for the series itself... I'd suggest "The Many Paths To Godhood" or something similar as the series title as it's eye catching and it embodies their goal while showing the path they're taking/have taken to get there.

That reminds me of a parable I once heard... I don't remember the name or its origin; but it's about God offering the first humans a choice between a banana and a stone. While you are certainly correct about the English variant of the name, keep in mind that not everyone is a native English speaker. Certain languages have a "Z" equivalent that translates as a "Sh" in writing. The author may have read a translated version of the HP series in a different language and, should their native tounge not be English, it would also impact their writing. That being said, only the author can confirm or deny such a statement. I hope this has been helpful in understanding the context.

That depends on what activities one is using it for.
