If you like evil MC's Darkwolf shiro has a fic containing a real random power ups, though he sets a restrictions on it so it doesn't get too overboard. So far he has 3 or 4? I don't fully remember but yes they are indeed randomized. one's lucky and one's unlucky.

Hmm, the plot is too forced because Hachiman is not shown to had excellence in chess and yet he's stomping this people who are literally in a chess club and the execution feels like a game, you know low level one's to higher and higher leveled player. well even if Hachiman is indeed good at chess because we know his analytical ability is good, this execution is just not good. First it's following the plot of that other fic and then just changing the outcome, so why follow it at all when it's just going to be "oh I dropped it" "You clearly dropped it on purpose" It doesn't have any meaning at all other than showing that yes he is Hachiman, now this wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't already have an established act that can be used as He is Hachiman, that is his conversation with Horikita. So what's the use of adding that one.

That's why I feel off, the author is just trying to trash on that fic, hopefully it gained a unique plot to it's own, otherwise this'll be boring and disappointing.

Her laughing? this showcase of personality is off, hmm, is this MTL? probably because I'm getting weird vibes from this story as their personalities are off and a copied chapter from that one MTL.

It's definitely that, although their self monologue is different but this paragraph is the same.

Even that doesn't make sense though, since his God complex happened because he had the death note, but it seems he doesn't have it here. And even if he had the god complex, he's just going to hide it.
But then you've got the ones who carry themselves like they're elites or they've earned their spot in this school. When I got my acceptance letter, it was for Class C. That means there has to be Class A and B. Considering an average Japanese classroom has about 38 students, and this school takes in 160 each year, I'm guessing there's a Class D, too. That'd mean there would be 40 students per class.
