My hunch this novel will be dropped by author at around 300ish chapter, the same author other novel, "erotic rpg" for example...

That's it, being dropped again by author, the same as author other unfinished novel. I suggest new potential reader to skip wasting your time reading and waiting for updates. This novel like author other novel will never be completed. Author have no persistence in finishing his novel.
