I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
Kurai is one of the thirteen Original Darknesses, also referred to as True Darkness. They possess a history with the Master of Masters. The Darkness were ancient entity locked in an eternal battle with the light entity. While they originally possessed physical forms and hearts, they currently exist without a body or a heart and are something like instinct or memory. So instead they must seek out hearts to inhabit or they will slowly lose themselves. So the reason Kurai possesses Helios is because that is it's nature and through possession they gain access to our memories. Having been trapped in the realm of Darkness Kurai so it's memories slowly faded and it almost lost itself until Helios arrived. Through Helios' meta memories Kurai was able to rebuild part of it's own and now understood that Darkness must always lose in the game concept. The ultimate reason it suggested that plan to break free of the creator was because that plan was the only way Helios would accept its possession. Helios might not be aware but Kurai had tried to take his body twice and has failed twice so it resorted to subtle manipulation. Kurai does want Helios to open Kingdom Hearts but it hasn't exactly shared all its plans with Helios.
That's true. Things are to get messy for Ansem.
He expected to be caught just not as soon. He is a bit overconfident but his back was to the wall and he needed eyes inside the Castle.
It would have to be a sleeping world then. Because technically sleeping worlds are the only way you can visit a world in the past. Which is fine since Helios will eventually need the power of waking. He can do so by learning time magic and returning to his original world Nightfall before it was consumed by darkness.
It's no bother. 😃
Well the epic Mickey could be a world just like how Black and white Mickey was in Timeless River.
Yeah it was a big twist but I feel like people are now at a point where Kairi shouldn't be a damsel but a useful character like Aqua and Xion. Her character development was good in KH1 and 2 but in 3 she didn't add much to the story at all so I hope she'll be better written.
Yeah but it felt more like after they reunited. the story focused more on Sora and Riku's feelings. Kairi didn't really make that much of an impact in the story after KH2 and a lot of people were disappointed by her role in 3 so they tried to fix it in Re:mind but overall, it still felt like Sora had a stronger connection to Riku rather than her. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus was a three way friendship done right.
Yes Riku really did get weaker as time went on because he kept rejecting the dark power by associating it with Ansem. Terra on the other hand had an okay control of darkness but he was too naive like Aqua and Ventus which I blame on Eraqus. Terra's heart was weak because he fell for the look behind you trick and thought something happened to Ventus. Riku's heart was weak because Maleficent and Ansem played on his fears of being left behind by Kairi and Sora. Although personally, I never understood that because I felt Sora cared more about Riku than he did Kairi.
