possibly. but seeing as how it's a teaching system I'd say it's more likely a measure of how much dependence they have on the user for their life. at this point she has the ability to go and strike out on her own but she wouldn't have an easy time of it at all. she only just learned the meditation method after all. so she would need to find other mentors to help her. this dependence is likely to go down slowly until the time when she no longer needs his backing. or it will increase based on her psychological dependence on him. unless it's just a translation error and it was supposed to say something like loyalty after all.

cultivation is generally a means of attaining immortality at higher levels. if he keeps his speed up enough to keep breaking through he will eventually reach immortality.

cooking is only the best if you are good at it and can focus on it. if you are one of those people like me who can only follow the recipe then cooking just turns into a slog. overall cooking is only goof if the food you make is good and it's only great when you also have loved ones to share it with. I know too many people who lose all motivation to cook when they are doing so only for themselves.
