Just found this. Seems like a really interesting, low-drama story. The only downside is that the FL is 15, and the MC is 15/30, depending on how you count, which feels weird. But the other relationships are fine, and the MC seems to be responsible and mature.

Yeah, the Inquisition Leader will probably kill Messai before they go through the portal, to expedite the trial process. Claim there was no time for a full trial in the battlefield or something. Better than letting word of the Inquisitors weird actions get out.
